good if you are new to the hobby

This book provides a lot of information. If you are new to the hobby this is great book to have in the shack. If you have been into ham radio for more than a year most of this information will be old, you should already have this information in other books. The chapters on emergency communications and traffic handling are pretty much a waste, if a major disaster happened the last thing I would be thinking about is radio. It seems like a good portion of the book is the standard league propoganda on how they what activities to occur on the air. After careful consideration this book is not worth $25

Magical

There's something magical evoked in this book. It takes astrology to a different level. It shows the Goddess in all of us in a clear and brilliant light. Not for the beginner, however any accomplished astrologer will find this a small gem to add to their collection of books. Something that will enhance any reading.

Helpful guide, but not on par with it's companion

Engle's handbook on Christian congregational worship, like his handbook on wedding services, is a useful, eclectic tool. Various denominational, and non-denominational styles are covered.

However, the variety covered here, considering the briefness of the volume, decreases it's usefulness. Where a collection of styles is quite usefull in a wedding handbook, due to the increase in inter- and non-denominational marriages, in a worship handbook, it simply makes the material covered seem watered down.

I recommend that one either look for a book within one's tradition, or find a volume that surveys aspects of congregational worship in more depth. For those who lean toward, or are interested in the Reformed tradition, I highly recommend books by Hughes Oliphant Old, especially his book, Leading in Prayer. That book greatly changed the way I saw the entire worship service.

Good for begginners...

We are using this book in classes of devices design in the technological graduate course of mechanical with enphasis in manufacturing. The contents helps to understand the principles to design devices that are used in clamping workpieces, and some basics concepts that will be usefful in control devices to inspection. I recomend to graduate and technicians students.

Courtney & Bedbugs

This is a humerous book about a little girl that is using excuses not to go to bed. The little girl is constantly yelling there is bugs in her room. She is just using her imagination and seeing bugs in her room. She solemly swears she is going to bed only if Dad gets the bugs from under her bed. Her Dad enters the room and sees she's not playing tricks.
The author in this story explains Bedbugs very well in his use od sentences. Everything important comes out in 1-3 sentences,and still makes his story sound good. The author used lots of descriptive words in just a few words.
My opinion of Bedbugs is it would be a good book for children when they are not really seeing scary things, just imagining.

An imaginative trip to the world below.

Through a series of short stories, Rey Rosa introduces us not only to a scary world beyond, but also to a new line in Guatemalan literature. Also, interesting mixing of scenaries. Even though, it was Rey Rosa's first work is strong and provocative. It makes you want to keep track of this young writer.

While this is a vast improvement over previous Teach Yourself French editions, it's still not the best. If you are not sure you will stick with it, it's great because it's relatively cheap. The Pimsleur courses are the best, but very very expensive. If you don't want to spend too much, this is probably one of the best options for learning French.

I know before only after his first films. And I know for him like a bocs (sometimes when he have a rest time), I know something about his childrens, but here I read more information. Best-Loved Negro Spirituals Complete Lyrics to 178 Songs

As someone who is learning to play the piano, Nicole and Ronald Herder's compilation, Best-Loved Negro Spirituals Complete Lyrics to 178 Songs of Faith : Complete Lyrics to 178 Songs of Faith, was purchased with the expectation this volume would include both lyrics and musical arrangements. Without some type of musical accompaniment(cassette, CD, scores), having the lyrics is not very beneficial if one doesn't already know how the songs should be sung. The hope was that "Best Loved" would be more like the Gwendolyn Sims book, Ev'ry Time I Feel the Spirit, meaning: history, lyrics, and arrangements. "Best Loved" is more like a book of gospel poetry and was not returned for that reason. Perhaps I will happen-upon recordings or sheet music or other arrangements for some of the older, non-standards.
