My foreword
I am familiar with the wisdom that is told by John Paul Christ in his book, 'I Am The Master.' I've read quite a few books, and this book pulls it all together better than most. It is very well written, very easy to read and enjoyable. This information could benefit anyone who's on their way to Mastery. I am glad that this book shows us how much God loves us. It's sad that many people are afraid of our loving Creator. To me, this book is a classic and it has been one of my greatest honors that I am able to write one of the first reviews of it. I pray that this book will be read by many. For if it is there shall be a great rejoicing. People realizing their own true nature, there is no greater discovery.

Thanks,
Jonathan Bennett

Where is the Bonhomme Richard?
The Bonhomme Richard sank in flames more than 200 years ago off Flamborough Head Yorkshire UK The wreck has never been found (not even by Clive Cussler) Ships often lie on the seabed many miles from where they were last sighted. The Thessaly sank in the 1880s off the Friesian Islands. The Royal Navy Admiralty Charts will tell you where this wreck lies and who located her. The Cap Palos was lost off Whitby Yorkshire in the 1920s. She lies at least 50 miles away. Cannons are located within 50 miles of Flamborough Head. Are they from the first ship of the US Navy

Great for young kids
You know how inquisitive small children can be. If you have children, you know how questions spring from them endlessly. Why don't you try to give them some answers to questions about a number of animals? Many kids are fascinated to learn more about them. They are so absorbed to pictures and books about animals, making this book perfect for almost any child. I recieved this book when I was very young and my thirst for animal-loving was quenched. And, at a fourth grade study of animals, I was ahead of the class, knowing about unusual animals that no one else imagined. Some of the unusual animals featured in this book are the platypus, cassowary, manatee, hoatzin, mandrill, gavial, moth, frog, okapi, mole, horseshoe crab, devilfish, hornbill, armadillo, warthog, matamata (I bet you're dying to find out what this is for yourself), and wrasse. But this book is not limited to kids. Adults can learn quite a bit about animals, too.

A gift
When Professor Paul Keddy was given a death sentence by his doctors, he realized he had better leave something about how he looked at life for his family, & he'd better take stock of where he'd come from, where he was then & what he might do with the rest of his life, such as it was.

I liked what I read, it told me things I didn't know, ideas I had already thought, practices I have already begun,

As an instruction book for youngsters when they ask The Big Questions: "Why am I here? Where did I come from? What should I do?" IF I SHOULD DIE BEFORE YOU WAKE offers some attainable first steps.

A great trip back to IC passenger service
"Illinois Central Streamliners 1936-1946" is a wonderful look back at the golden age of IC passenger service. Having grown up along the IC route, I have fond memories of taking the train between my home in the Chicago area and my grandpaents in Mattoon, Illinois. I was born in 1948, but the most of the trains seen in this book were still running when I was young. My very earliest recollections are of taking the train with my Mother. The sights, the thrill of riding the trains are renewed reading this book. If you are a passenger train fan, and particularly if you rode the IC, you will love this book. Great picture, lots of detail and descriptions. A great trip down memory lane.

An intelligent look at ancient wisdom
Once upon a time encyclopaedias were large tomes filled with dry facts served in bite sized pieces. Well, times have changed and this was a real pleasure to review.

The illustrations are stunning, the text well researched, well written and with some subtle tongue in cheek observations as the author debunks some myths and adds depth to others. It is one of those books one wants to dip into again and again and each time some new knowledge emerges.

It is made to be really used too. The book is so robustly put together it will probably end up as a family heirloom.

Letters from the Pope we never knew
This book is one of the closest pieces of work that we have to finding out what went on in the mind of John Paul I, Pope for a mere thirty-three days. Here, written when he was Patriarch of Venice, he writes to various people in literary and church history, and also in fiction. An amusing and witty book. Albino Luciani gets to the heart of the subject in each letter, and shows that sometimes the best answers are the most simple ones.

Older version of JOURNEY THROUGH THE ICE AGE...
IMAGES OF THE ICE AGE by Paul Bahn and Jean Vertut is the 1988 edition of JOURNEY THROUGH THE ICE AGE published in 1997. Bahn says in the preface of the 1997 edition that it is "fully revised and updated." Comparing the two volumes leads me to believe Bahn incorporated much new information from peer reviewed articles and scholarly papers delivered/published in the 1990s in the 1997 version. The 1997 edition is much more beautiful than the 1988 version, although the older edition remains quite interesting.

Much of the original material in IMAGES (1988) can be found in JOURNEY (1997). Differences between the two editions include: 1/ Added sections to the 1997 version entitled "The Oldest Art in the World"; "Fakes and Forgeries"; "Portable Art"; "Rock Shelters and Caves"; "Art in the Open Air", and 2/ Dropped a section in the 1988 version entitled "Forms and Techniques". Much of the material in the 1997 "Forms" section has been expanded to create the new sections on portable and parietal art. Bahn has also added enhancements throughout the 1997 version including a nifty text box that shows a "Chronological Chart of Cave Drawings" with radiocarbon dating results (estimates and standard errors) listed for each entry.

The photographs in the 1997 version are larger than those in the 1988 version. Bahn added a few new photographs to the newer edition (by the late Paul Vertut). Overall the text of the 1988 version is less polished. The 1997 version includes shaded text boxes and larger, easier to read print. The maps in the 1997 version are more articulated and the resolution is better.

The 1997 edition JOURNEY THROUGH THE ICE AGE is the better buy.

A good starting chapter book
As a child I enjoyed reading this book and now I have rediscovered it as a good book to read to my preschool children. The story is entertaining even hilarious at times and has its share of interesting characters. The basic story revolves around an eccentric pig and its love affair with a dolphin sculpture. The book is suitable for listeners in the 3 to 7 years old age range and readers in the 6 to 10 years old range depending on their ability. Although this book has not gotten a lot of press lately, it is definitely worth picking up.
