Maryland fans should love this book.

This book presents a history of University of Maryland basketball, with profiles of it's most outstanding players and coaches, from the prospective of Cole Field House -- Maryland's decades-old and recently-replaced basketball venue. This is a wonderfully nostalgic book for Maryland basketball fans.

Straightforward and easy layout

I am a piano teacher, and I like using this series for students - it's very straightforward. The top of each page, or each lesson, is a brief explanation; and the bottom half has short "homework" assignments. After about 3 or 4 lessons, there is an assignment to review those lessons. At the end of the book is a student test, which goes over all the material learned in the book. Very easy to use.

Mastering Witchcraft

This book launched my Horticultural career. I became intrigued with the info but had to look up all of the unfamiliar plants, many medicinal and historical. The book is good but lists some inaccuracies for 'Bronze-Age' Wicca such as the use of iron for Sacred Knives. Great source of homemade incense.

Math Review made fun

I think this is a good book because it was fun and interesting to read about where the characters were going next. That made it exciting! I like how the author used things kids are interested in like going to the DeciMall. The practice problems were helpful and the explanations were very clear so you could easily understand everything. This is a good book to get because you will find that you are learning all the concepts in the book and fast effective ways to solve problems. While your learning you will find you are enjoying yourself.

I don't usually like dog stories, but . . .

I read this one straight through in one evening. Max was a VERY unusual dog! Did he REALLY understand what people said to him? How did he do what he did? This is a book to be read aloud to your children so the whole family can experience the wonder of this truly amazing dog.

An excellent book, but needs an update

This book has fantastic pictures and a great view on Paul McCartney's life since his childhood in Liverpool, as a member of The Beatles, his marriage to Linda Eastman, his family life, and the birth and rise of his group Wings. However, it only shows information up to 1975, so it needs to be updated. But it's indeed a treasure for any McCartney fan, with dozens of rare and private photos.

Not for the beginning woodworker

This book offers drawings of some beautifully proportioned furniture pieces, including chests of drawers, highboys, lowboys, desks, a clock, tilt-top tables and windsor chairs. The author/editor give no guidance for cutting, joining or assembling the pieces. Judging from this and the lack of detailed templates for scroll work, and from the sometimes incomplete measurements, it was not compiled with the beginning woodworker in mind.

Has less personality than 'Chemtrek' but still it's fine.

I saw this at the local University library and ran home to order it. It is a cut above standard lab books. It has the personal feel from the author and is enjoyable reading (if you are a chemistry teacher!). I'm using it at the high school level but it is definitely more geared for freshman year undergrad.
