"Bolan Lite" -- Great for Newbies
A whole new generation is discovering Marc Bolan for the first time, so this little book is as nice a place as any to start. Old fogies like me, who were actually around to witness T. Rextasy first hand, will grouse that it's lacking in depth. (And no, that's not just because there are no quotes from my "Electric Warrior Free Press" issues anywhere to be found in the book, tsk, tsk!) The ultimate test is that my 19-month-old daughter liked the pictures, and that's just "dandy" with me!

A "classic" example of multiple methods of data collection
"Marienthal: The Sociography of an Unemployed Community" is considered a classic in the fields of political science and sociology. The authors use multiple methods of data collection to examine an unemployed town in Austria in the 1930s. The effects of unemployment are examined and recounted. This book reads quickly and easily.

Excellent sequel to module X2, Castle Amber
Mark of Amber is an elaborate boxed set adventure that picks up the story of the classic Lovecraftian jaunt, X2 Castle Amber (Chateau d'Ambreville)! Clark Ashton Smith's venomous faerie dreamworld of French romance and intrigue comes vividly alive once more as Etienne d'Ambreville, the most powerful Archmagus in the magocracy of Glantri, is missing and presumed dead... worse, a sinister assassin of seemingly endless power and ingenuity is stalking the d'Ambreville nobles one by one, and only you can save them... how? By plunging yourself into the living nightmares of a dying Immortal. Told you it was fun... :) for levels 4-6.

Teachers! Good cases and lots of assignment possibilities
This was the assigned text book for a class I taught at National College in Denver. I liked the way the cases and vignettes illustrated the concepts covered. The teacher's edition had even more examples of good and bad marketing by large recognizable corporations (remember Burger King's "Herb" campaign?). Another feature that I valued were the marketing "projects" at the end of each chapter. These gave students the opportunity to use the concepts on a product/service of their own choosing, as opposed to just reguritating definitions

The Marlow Chronicles

Excellent
I'm not sure why this one isn't more well-known since it is a rather old book. The tale is always relevant and I enjoyed Sanders' style.

The overview of the plot given on the review page is quite accurate but I think you'll find the ending to be quite powerful. Definitely there is a good build-up of emotion as the tale proceeds. Get a nice hot pot of tea and a comfortable chair for this one!

Martin Buber's contribution to physchology and phychotherapy
This new title is most interesting for those of us who are aware of Martin Buber's many sided interests and his philososophical contributions to physchology and phychotherapy. The book contains essays he wrote over the years, his connection and exchange of thoughts and opinions with Jung and many others. The final chapter is the dialogue about the history of the unconscious . Altogether a most interesting and inspiring read.

Lotus in the flower rose
It is fascinating journey to relate Martin Luther's theology to Buddhist beliefs. One key thing that struck me in reading about these finer points of theology or religion is that most Christians or Buddhists or Muslims or Hindus live their lives ignorant of these finer points and hold a simpler faith.
To me, Amida Buddha comes the closest to the Christian concept of Jesus Christ. Amida Buddha is appealed to by two innocent and powerless characters in the conclusion to Akira Kurosawa's film masterpiece, Ran, an adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy, King Lear.
