Creating a life that heals
As a healthcare professional and as someone who has lost freinds and family to AIDS, I was greatly encouraged by this book. At one time, it was required reading by an English professor at Georgia State University. I know a person with AIDS now, whom after reading it, found important information and encouragement to continue living successfully and fully with HIV illness for over 14+ years! A must reading for anyone who wants to retain control of their own life while facing any health challenge. People do not die of AIDS. They die of the fear of inevitable death, pervasive misinformation, and a surrender to the medical and pharmaceutical establishment. This book is a powerful witness to a woman's battle to rob death, personal healing, and triumph over what is seen as a endless or hopeless battle. It is good reading whether you have a life threatening illness or not because it is a true story about hope and personal empowerment!

Why I'm Not A Liberal (Broadside Series)

How a Lefty Salvaged His Mind From Atrophy
David Horowitz is one of the few 1960 Lefties who decided to place greater value on truth than on ego. If every Lefty would engage in the sort of introspection and soul-searching that Horowitz had, America would not find itself in the midst of a war over its soul, culture, identity, and future. This booklet barely scratches the surface as to why Liberalism is intellectually and morally bankrupt. But it will, I hope, spark the type of introspection that will lead more Liberals out of desolation and into the light.

Beyond Wicca 101
This is a neglected classic of the modern Craft. The author has led his Rowan Tree tradition of the craft for decades and has focused its work on personal spiritual growth. This book begins by assuming that the reader knows the basics of the Craft - the tools, the Rede, the Circle, etc. he outlines his system's curriculum, and provides some guidance for the solitary reader in using it.
One of the more interesting bits is a borrowing from Tibetan Buddhism. In that system, powerful adepts recover their tools from life to life, as their new incarnations are discovered. The author proposes a similar system for Wicca, with athames, etc, passed from incarnation to incarnation over the generations.
Good reading for those interested in higher-level thinking on the Craft.

Next best thing to going yourself....
This book contains 20 essays of travels in the wilderness written by some of the best outdoors writers of today (including Tim Cahill of Outdoor Magazine who has written a number of excellent books of his own). At the end of each essay is a section of notes for how to get to the places described, what you will need, what to check out while you are there, and other kinds of information you can use to make the trip yourself. The essays are well written and very entertaining for armchair travelers and actual adventurers alike. It is definitely the next best thing to being there.

This Book is The BEST!
This book is about a hound pup who get lost, and he is adoptedby a big, black lone wolf that is known all over the countryside forhis courage, cunningness and intelligence. The hound learns the ways of this wolf, but when the original owner finds his lost dog in the wilderness, he attempts to tame him and use him as the best hunting dog that anybody ever had. This book is a MUST read, I recomend it to people who love reading about animals and the outdoors.

The PDR for wilderness injuries & related illnesses
Foregoing knowledge of the existance of this text was unkown, until it was needed in an emergent situation on site. At that time a stingray injury required our immediate attention. With no previous experience in this kind of injury, the book provided immediate no frills information on treatment, backup care and procedures. After this experience, I carefully examined the text at length and was amazed at the comprehensive nature of the topic that was covered. I would recommend this text to be present in all health care provider libraries and offices, as it is in mine. Dr. H.J. Willis D.O. Emergency & Trauma Physicia

A Lesson in how to live and work
This book, written by Williams, tells a story of a quiet, deliberate, tenacious, focused, genius of a man who should join the likes of Martin Luther King, Paul Roberson and Jackie Robinson during Black History month. "The Will and the Way" is inspirational and filled with how-to's that overcame obstacles he encountered time and time again. His story is one of a gentle man who took a natural talent (drawing) and became an amazing architect. An orphan who didn't let adversity hamper his progress or thwart his dreams. His work ethic and preparedness are unmatched by anyone past or present. He defines "Success".

This is a story of a man of honor, dignity, integrity, superior intelligence and impeccable taste. His life was rich in extraordinary experiences and his public relation skills were stunning. His ability to draw upside down is the most amazing thing ever!

The common sense displayed by Williams and the maintenance man at the cotton mill are comforting. Williams's advice of how to plan your day and the importance of reading, listening and thinking are jewels.

Thanks to Karen Hudson for sharing this inspiring story that might have been lost to those of us who love Black History.
