Disappointing.
Emulating a famous individual rarely works for a writer wanting to create his own magic. This book fails on all counts. It is as woeful as anything I've read in the past 10 years. It is a Publish-On-Demand book (I.E. VANITY) and it shows. SORRY, BUT THIS IS A BAD, BAD BOOK.

Shadows Turned To Light
I read this book several years ago, and I always reflect back to the courage Paul Hughes walked in. I have personally met the author of Shadow Of Death, and I find Paul Hughes to be a living testimony of the absolute grace of God. He is an epistle to be read in this age. You can't help but feel encouraged as you embrace the pages of this man's life. To know that God can take a man like Paul Hughes and transform his life into a vessel of honor, should give every person a new level to reach for. READ AND ENJOY!

BORING and DISTURBING
Don't bother to open these little doors. I buy every book and article that I can find by Paul, He is usually the most stimulating, interesting, inovative and fun author. He was number one on my list.
This collection is terrible in many ways. The stories and either boring, or unintersting and a couple are disturbing .
It is ok to disturb your reader, but there are stories that make you think that Paul is so disturbed that you do not want to support him anymore by buying his books.
Maybe this is just a collection of the stories that he wanted to through away but was published anyway.
It will probably take me a year to buy another one of his books( That is a long time, since I buy about 3 books a day and he publishes about 3 books an hour.)

Disturbing only in the way Jimi Hendrix disturbs
Reportedly Di Filippo brews his heady potions whilst seated with headphones on, blasting music so loud it can be heard across the room. Probably the man listens to everything from Glenn Gould to the Stones; his stories reflect that kind of eclectic, roving intelligence. He's not afraid to poke gentle fun at the SF genre, and his skill at writing is impressive: he's a shape-shifter in writer's form. That is, one story will have you thinking "Harlan Ellison," another "Gene Wolfe," another "Samuel Delany," etc. So, yes, it's weirdly discomforting not to be able to pigeonhole these tales. But it sure seems to me that if you're looking for a hugely enjoyable, multi-faceted and unpredictable collection...this is it.

Not for pros
Very general overview of the workout process. Basic concepts. If you have ever worked in restructuring credits, this one is not for you. If on the other hand you know nothing about workouts, pick it up, although [] there are much better buys. Come to think of it, should have bought my better half a nice present instead, why don't you?

Comprehensive overview of the workout process
This is the first book I have come across that leads the reader through the entire workout process, from the loan to the recovery as well as the organisational issues surrounding it, often neglected by pro's. Highly recommended for the people who are relatively new to the game, although there are also some useful tips for those of us who think we know it all!!!!

Too difficult to find a phrase
The phrases in this book work well and the phoenetic spelling isn't horrible, I just found it difficult to quickly find what I wanted to say. I found the two page "essential phrases" list in the back of my other travel guides more useful because you didn't have to flip a bunch of pages to get what you need. I was on a brief trip to Europe, this book may be more useful for longer trips.

It was useful and very good to have around
This book is very useful to me because I travel to Europe every year and when I go there, it's difficult to get around the airports or the country itself. This little phrasebook has helped me to communicate with the other people in the countries I go to.

The book had almost none of the writings of the saints.
The title of the book displays prominently the names of St. Francis, St. Paul, St.Augustine and Mother Teresa. I was expecting to discover seldom found gems of these saints thoughts. I was quite disappointed to find only the very smallest snippets or their best know words and endless, ponderous ramblings of the author. It was as though he used their names to hook me into listening to him dissect their words in infinite detail.

Broader understanding of the Christian tradition
This wonderful and beautiful trilogy sheds new light on classic Christian texts and individuals. If you're allergic to Christianity, these books will allow you to view the religion in a more tolerant and enlightened perspective. Easwaran's Eastern take on the subjects will both give Christians a different approach to their tradition, and non-Christians a more accessible outlet in which to understand these traditions.

Making Kitchen Cabinets: A Foolproof System for the Home Workshop
Published in Paperback by Taunton Press (November, 1999)
Authors: John R. Levine and Paul Levine
Amazon base price: $19.95
Used price: $10.88

Not a very good book at all
I found the book to be very outdated and full of useless information. The book does not even give you any useable plans for constructing your own cabinets. The material choices and assembly procedures are so out dated that an extreamly large amout of wood and money would be wasted. I would not recomend this book to anyone.

Great Euro style cabinets
After checking out all of the kitchen cabinet making books I could find from local libraries, I found this one to give me the simplest foolproof way of making cabinets. I am planning to use this book to make my kitchen cabinets. It is based on the Euro style cabinets, ones without face frames. He also has an accompianing video which is also very good.

Making Money with Baseball Cards
I bought this book through you used.

The book was outdated and not very useful. Nothing about selling online etc. It was too old. Wish I had not bought it.

Card Strategies & How to make money off cards!!
The moment I got this book, I knew I got what I paid for! It has great strategies and explains good cards, and cards to stay away from. Donn Pearlman and Paul Green do a great job of telling the reader and sharing with the reader the experiences they both have had with dealing with cards. You could tell by the context and how well written it was, that both Pearlman, and Green know tons about cards, and do a great job of giving strategies to the readers and how and what to do to make your cards and their value rise! This book was enjoyed thoroughly by me, and if bought, I'm sure it will be by you too!

This book is great. I can't count how many times I've read it and memorized parts! I love Mark-Paul Gosselaar and this is a must for all fans.

A Disappointment
After reading other Coleman books I expected to read something new and informative about Paul McCartney. Instead I was spoonfed a repetitive and boring story of the development of the song "Yesterday". Pass on this one - it's definitely not worth the money.

Interesting & Informative, But Not Unbiased
As with all of Ray Coleman's books, this one is accurate and informative, but somewhat irritating in its obvious adoration of McCartney. Still a definitive account of the history of one of the most famous songs of all time. Also, it includes a comprehensive account of how Paul McCartney lost the chance to get the rights to the Lennon/McCartney songs when he was outbid by a former collaborator, Michael Jackson. A must-read for any Beatles fan, for this information if for nothing else.

Fluffy PR
Read more like a press release or company-paid pr fluff than a detached history of the company. The corporate-speak hyperbole was enough to make one nauseous.

One of the most memorable case studies I've ever found...
Over the past year I have been involved in the startup of a competitive telecommunications provider owned by AT&T. I frequently cited this book and the experiences of MCI in discussions with others in my company when dealing with difficult issues.

This book is one of the more memorable case studies I've ever found. The pages flew by, though the sayings within remained indelibly marked in my mind.

Yes, the book is written by MCI insiders proud of what they accomplished. They should be. I only wish more companies would share their experiences with the world in this manner and with the simple but memorable words used here. I could use a few more of these case studies.
