Real stories about police work
I loved reading this book because I always wondered what being a police officer was like. The stories in Cop Tales 2000 made me feel as though I was right there on the street with the cops. If you want to read about what real cops do, this is the book! I highly recommend it.

J Briant
An Outstanding collection of Stories associated with the world of Law Enforcement, crafted by Authors that have lived the experience of the world of COPS. It is a must read. It brings you incidents of the real world that we all exist in. I read them twice. Read Cop Tales 2000, you'll love it. Fascinating.

Outstanding look at the most majestic kingdom in the Realms
At last, the most difficult-to-find sourcebook module for the Realms - this compendium of lore tells you everything you ever wanted to know about the vaunted faerieland kingdom of Cormyr - it is a majestic land ruled by a wise and just king, which means, of course, that the forces of evil have focused upon its borders in their neverending hatred... details include geography, climate, cities and towns, history, philosophy, culture, entertainment, law, nobility, the peasantry, the knightly orders, the Purple Dragons, adventures, and of course, the legendary War Wizards themselves! A true classic of Realmslore, almost impossible to find; highest recommendation.

A complete but unrestricting over view of the realms central
This is a complete overview of Cormyr the country that stands as a central place for adventurers in the forgotten realms. In the same line of presentation as the dale lands and moonsea area this supplement includes a large full color map of the area. Much like the larges expansions as the North and Lands of Intrigue this is a very good supplement at less that half the price.

Corporate Communication

Exceedingly Thorough and Strong
Though not as current as some other texts dealing with corporate communication, Argenti's book is still the best. It combines both theory and practice, never letting one dominate the other; instead, it combines them, letting their merged strengths shine. It's similar to Guerrilla PR: Wired by Michael Levine, which also utilizes the practice of public relations to great effect in examining how to attain the objective.

Argenti uses several brilliant case histories in his examination of corporate communication. This text is both informative and useful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's involved in the field.

Paul Argenti's Corporate Communication: A new perspective
I have been using Paul Argenti's Corporate Communication for my Management and Corporate Communication class and find the book very systematic and comprehensive. It provides students with a new perspective of professional external and internal communication that a company needs to build its image and identity. Especially, the down-to-earth cases for discussions such as, the Adolph Coors Company and the 60 minutes CBS program, and the case of United Technologies, are perfect application of knowledge to practice. More significant is that those problems are universal and might occur to any organization. And this is credited to Paul Argenti's long experience of teaching management and corporate communication. I really enjoy using this book.

Another super Margaret Hillert book.
As a Kindergarten teacher, I love Margaret Hillert books. She writes them so that early readers can read them independently, yet her stories are so well developed that they captivate young readers. Her books are exciting instead of the usual bland fare available to emergent readers.

The Cow That Got Her Wish
Ranks right up there with her previous works. Margaret Hillert makes reading fun for your youngsters with the illustrations and crazy antics. My kids love her other books and a movie from a couple of years ago (Annabelle's Wish) and got real excited about this book when they saw it. It captured the attention of my 4 and 7 year olds simultaneously. Keep them coming Margaret!

Great Compilation of the Original Rock Magazine!
Paul Williams is one of originators of serious writing about the whole rock music scene. This is a great collection of his early pieces from the original Crawdaddy magazine, which was his brainchild. In addition, check out his other writings. He remains an enthusiastic observer/participant of music and pop culture.

Long-overdue tribute to the first rock journal
Excerpts and recollections from the first 19 issues (February 1966-October 1968) of Crawdaddy!, the first magazine of serious rock music coverage and criticism. This was the period when rock & roll was transforming into rock, when new groups and sounds were a weekly happening, and the rock album was asserting its place in the market. It is fascinating to read the articles, reviews, and interviews by some of rock music's future premier writers such as editor/publisher Paul Williams, Jon Landau, Richard Meltzer, and Ed Ward, and to relive the history of the music in the reprinted news items and record release notices. Fans of rock history and pop music journalism will enjoy this long-overdue celebration of the orgin of the form.

Created Writing: Poetry from New Angles

A wonderful text book that you can actually read
Paul Agostino has taken on a subject,(poetry) which causes most to roll their eyes. However, there will be few "I don't get it"s from the readers of CREATED WRITING. The poetry is fresh and energetic, and the text that surrounds it is likewise. Agostino's writing is hip and funny, and the book reads at a brisk pace. I highly recommend this book.

Enables the student writer to use their own creative view.
This off-beat,and up-beat text uses the same traditonal elements in all poetry, but allows for the student to find ways to make poetry speak for them, and about them. An excellent text.

Excellent book
I never expect a book so concise and straight to the point of intimacy and building a real relationship. It is a must for those who wants to know about love, intimacy and relationships.

Roadsigns and Maps to True Intimacy
This is a relatively short book and can be a quick read. However, the content is such that sentence after sentence may be used as seed thoughts for meditations that will illuminate our experiences leading us to the deeply fulfilling task of owning and transforming our lives. As we become more authentic, so will our relationships. Paul writes very clearly and simply, yet with great depth. I was particularly struck by the chapters/laws on mirroring and forgiveness. This is a book I will return to many times.

An excellent source book for "getting it right" for lay persons who want to "cut to the quick" in the search for answers to legal problems concerning the criminal law system. No mumbo jumbo legalese here, just straight talk in plain English. Kudos to you and your effort.

Criminal Law for everyone.
I checked out this book at the library and I am ready to order a copy for myself. Very easy to read and entertaining.

The Truth About Love & Marriage
My wife and I read this book as we prepared for marriage, and it's the best book we've read on the subject. Though we are not Catholics, we recognize the beautiful truths of Pope John Paul II's vision of divine and human love. Crossing the Threshold of Love descibes marriage in its fullness--as God intended it. Any book on marriage that ignores such fundamental issues as fertility cycles and contraception is not worth your time. Mary Shivanandan is an honest, informed, and trustworthy guide in these matters. Though not an easy read, it is well worth the effort.

Readable, penetrating, beautiful work
This book is stunning. How beautiful is God's gift of our body, I realized after reading it. This world proclaims that the human body is made for gratification and manipulation, but we know deep down there has to be more. Pope John Paul II has given the defining answer through his writings on the theology of the body. Sadly, many of us have not heard it or cannot comprehend it. This book by Dr. Shivanandan clearly and concisely elucidates the reader on the mind of this Pope. In Crossing the Threshold of Love, the layperson can see the link from the creation of man, of men and women, in God's image to day-to-day relationships with others.

Married couples, single persons, parents, priests, seminarians, teachers -- all can peel away years of misunderstanding the true theology of the body with their read of this book. So much of life's beauty is revealed. A profound sense of serenity with one's sexuality can be the result.

It is not for wimps, though. It took time to read and upon reflection to appreciate this work. It is more than worth the effort.

Crossing the Threshold of Love will remain a timeless resource for meditation and for improving relations with one another.
