RAISE MILLIONS/IPO-THIS BOOK MUST ALWAYS BE IN YOUR MIND!!!
This book should be on the desk of every CEO, CFO and Entrepreneur in the country. It seems that everyone wants to take their company public but almost no one knows how until now. Thanks to the author/experts, Robert Paul Turner and his assistant Megan Hughes, because they arm you with everything you need to realize your dreams of enormous success by raising millions of dollars and taking your company public. The reading is easy to read, concise and to the point. They clearly explain all the associated risks along with the benefits and even help you to determine whether or not your company is suited for a IPO.

I really like the section that explains the various federal and state securities laws that is mandatory for everyone to know when going public. You just can't put a price tag on this valuable information to ensure all SEC regulations are met properly.

If you want to raise Millions and take your company Public, the pages of this book MUST always be in your mind!

The definitive text on evolutionary psychology.
A profound and scholarly text expounding the human condition from the perspective of the evolutionary psychological paradigm. The book is uncompromising, certainly not populist, but richly rewards the effort it demands

Great technical guide to hummingbirds
This is a truly fascinating book on hummingbirds. It is a must-have guide for anyone looking for complete technical information on these birds. Numerous charts, maps & b/w illustrations really help.

The book starts out with 24 color plates of paintings showcasing a wide variety of hummingbird species. Next, hummingbirds are classified & their general attributes are described.

Then distribution is covered. The evolution of the birds & how they became specialized in also explained. The following chapters compare anatomy, physiology, biology, ecology & reproduction of the different species.

Over 40 different species are described in detail, including range, size, habitat, movements & foraging behavior. Identification keys for both North American & Mexican hummingbirds are a great bonus.

Readable, Reliable History of a Little-Known Country
This is an outstanding, very easy to read, history of a little known and understood country and people, the Hungarians, who are NOT slavs nor to be confused with the Huns. I heard the author give a talk at a dinner in Washington, DC, which prompted to read his book. I have not been disappointed. On the contrary, this is the most readable, entertaining history that I've read in years. Lendvai makes David McCullough look like an amateur, in terms of the scope of the years covered and the masterful way in which he writes, displaying a command of significant details and telling anecdotes. Even those with no particular interest in Hungary or eastern Europe would enjoy this book for its style of writing alone. This should be must reading for anyone planning a trip to Hungary.

Every bit as good as the Microbe Hunters...
Another great work from the author of the Microbe Hunters. This book is oriented to the fighters of hunger: those looking for better wheat varieties, those fighting diseases in animals and corn, etc. Biographical details of the un-known and unsung heroes who helped feed the world. Get hold of a copy if you can!

Intricate, picturesque and from a highly reliable source
The Hunter Douglas Guide to Window Decorating would be a good reference guide if it were written by an unknown. The fact that the largest manufacturer of Window Blinds and coverings, Hunter Douglas, has embarked on an impressive and easily comprehensible How-To is remarkable. There are no bells and whistles, just honest and easy to understand examples in both written word and pictures. The case studies are relevant and feasible: a concern many other books simply do not acknowledge. In my opinion, being a designer myself, it is a refreshing reference to have in any design conscious household or office.

Hunting American Lions
Published in Hardcover by High Lonesome Books (December, 1995)
Authors: Frank C. Hibben and Paul Bransom
Amazon base price: $20.00

Back to the old days
This book takes you back to the days of Dale Lee and Ben Lilly and tells stories of how they hunted lions. It is a book for those who are intersted in hearing old stories and tales of some of the greatest lion hunters ever. As you read you find yourself standing on the rim rock looking into the jagged country and hearing the dogs baying and working the track across the canyon bottom. It is a very good read for lion hunters of today because Hibben puts into words what we expereince on a day to basis chasing lions in the rough and tough back country. It is also a great book for those who have ever wondered what it would be like to hunt lions with dogs or those who think hound hunting is not a sport. Once you have read this book hopefully you will have a better understanding of one of the greatest traditions in North America.

Hyperlearning
I have read many books on hypermedia and authorware as it forms the basis of my Masters degree in ICT's in Primary Education but I have found none as practical and clearly presented as this. In Ireland, where I am based, Hyperstudio is very popular but simple, clear, practical guides like this one, with a strong emphasis on evaluation and pupil learning are hard to come by. I would strongly recommend this book to any teacher who is genuinely seeking a new and workable approach to integrating authorware using the project method. The copy I read was loaned to me and I am now placing an order for my own copy.
