Wry, witty, insightful - only guide book you'll need
I'd been to the area several times, but with the Cadogan in tow, I discovered the Bay of Naples' hidden treasures. Wish I'd had it along on all my journeys.

Enjoyable Read
What's nifty about this book is how it contains many "long" poems that never get slack. As a result, in addition to appreciating the narratives, there are many great lines or brief excerpts that make you pause and appreciate them on their own; for instance, "there's a certain/ S and M bureaucratic attitude/ going around." Or, "It was as if he was in the/ dead center of sanity and/ the moderns and ancients/ were playing with mirrors." Or, "I have had nothing to say/ since Italy." (Granted, I love Italy but still!)

Also, while tempting to consider this "wise guy" poetry (and it is), there is an (often subtle) undercurrent of lyricism (e.g. the lines "It touches every facet/ of our lives in a way/ punch cards never could" or "The color of the day expands and springs through the checkerboard/ Where a truck twists in the wind") that is just one of the many ways this book offers a long-lasting, enjoyable resonance through multi-dimensionality.

A True Gem
This book is very readable and always deep. It requires that the reader have a basic understanding of Bion in order to mine the riches that the author has unearthed here.

Each chapter is a fresh look at aspects of the prenatal in our daily speech and act. This may seem farfetched, but the author's discussion of mental pressure, the sense of strangeness and human speech are nicely linked up to prenatal experiences.

This book is wonderful.

wonderful, with detailed text about anatomy and reproduction
This is a great book for a detailed introduction to reproduction. It contains all the proper terms for male and female anatomy along with simple non-offensive illustrations. The anatomy is diagramed, and the hows of intercourse are explained in words, but there are no diagrams of intercourse. It goes into specific detail about human reproduction and sexual intercourse in a very easy-to-understand format for elementary-aged children. This book explains the anatomy and the hows of reproduction from intercourse up to birth with just the facts, without comments about love, marriage, or religion, so anyone who wishes to explain the specific details to a child could do so with this book and then add one's own beliefs to supplement it. It is out of print, but not out of date.

Excellent book to use to come up to speed
A number of books out there look at Visual Basic for Applications, but this is the only one so far that focuses on the newest version of Access. I found this book to be invaluable in cutting through the clutter and getting me straight to the practical applications of VBA. The authors take you through basic programming tenants but don't dwell on them. Rather they jump into examples that are very interactive and instructive. Their examples are clear and are good starting points to expand from on your own. It is not an exhaustive reference, but you benefit from it more if you have some decent Access experience. If you don't know a database, you are not going to learn here. But in just a few weeks after reading this book, I find myself going again and again into the examples as starting points for my own projects. And it is amazing how a little bit of programming will impress the users.

There are a couple of mistakes in the book that can inhibit your code from running. In addition, the database supplied has dates of 1998 and 99, but the book uses dates in 2001, so you have to adjust your code in order to get results. And unfortunately WROX has shut down its errata area so you can't really get help with these problems. So don't assume if your code doesn't work, it is your fault. This is where the code on the CD can be helpful - if it doesn't run right it's the program, not the programmer.

Overall with a little patience and work, you can get a huge amount of help from this book.

Beautiful!
The artwork in this book is absolutely beautiful. Although not a very long book, the layout shows true artistic taste. There is a detailed drawing of each facade that opens up to show the building's interior. These drawings are complimented with photographs of the buildings and their contents. The book focuses on St. Peter's, Buckingham Palace, the Paris Opera, Neuschwanstein (castle), and Monticello. I particularly enjoyed the sections on the Opera and on Monticello. There were so many interesting little facts!

This is a "must" for understanding the world of politics.
This is a seminal book. It brings to light the awesome power of Freemasonry in America, and provides an exceptionl and provocative analysis of the religion clause of the First Amendment to theU.S. Constitution.

The main focus of the work is on the U.S.Supreme Court and its dominance for the first time in history by Justices who were members of the secret Brotherhood. The author provides a penetrating insight particularly to Justice Hugo L. Black, a man who was exposed by the Pittsburg Post Gazett and the New York Times as a lifetime member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Integral to the book's focus is the author's detailed evidence of Masonic influence on the high bench. This is authenticated by citations from numerous articles in the the New Age, the official organ of Scottish Rite Freemasonry of the Southern Jurisdiction. Those articles demonstrate that the Fraternity, as it is known, opposed any possible government aid to religious institutions, particularly parochial schools. Strangely enough, the high bench handed down a series of decisions in the 1940, '50s, '60s, and '70s, the reasoning of which paralleled arguments frequently advanced in the New Age magazine

As a result of those Court decisions, Christianity has been emasculated in public life.

Two other major sections of the book document how Masonry was involved in setting up secret lodges in the Civil War; how it was the generative force which precipitated the Philippine Revolution at the turn of the last Century, as well as other political events. Of interest, too, is a provocative evaluation of how the Craft targets men to join the secret Fraternity, including U.S. Presidents, Members of Congress, major military leaders and others to advance its goal of completely overthrowing Church and State and establishing a World Government under Masonic control.
This is a "must read" for anyone interested in the intrigue and secret forces who are so dominant in shaping world society. Don't dismiss this work out of hand> READ IT! Then refute it, if you can.END.
