With its beautiful images inspired by Feng Shui symbols
Peter and Eileen Connolly have artfully collaborated to produce a tarot deck that superbly combines the traditional elements of tarot divination with an ancient Chinese spiritual wisdom embodying the principles of Form School Feng Shui (balancing environment, surroundings, materials, and colors). This unique tarot deck is based on the Feng Shui philosophy that a "chi" or flow of energy can be directed in certain ways by the optimal placement of large or small items to balance yin and yang, thereby creating a more favorable environment for people living or working in a particular space. With its beautiful images inspired by Feng Shui symbols and Chinese art enhancing the tarot experience, Feng Shui Tarot is a very highly recommended addition students of metaphysics in general, and to any tarot reader's collection in particular.

The Three Dimensional March
Mr. Walker demands respect for his authentic recreation
of the characters and intrigue chiseled from stone
and history to bring to life a time and personality
that changed the world. Walker allows the reader to
explore with detail one of the most exciting stories
in the panorama of art and architecture. This book
is a perfect gift for any intelligent reader who
has enthusiasm for the Renaissance. A must read.
The writing style and subject delivers the right
note from page to page. Intellectualism is fine...
but truth is even better. Walker gives us both.

A Field Guide to Western Butterflies

A Must-Have for Lepsters!
In the first part of this excellent field guide, families of butterflies are presented together on color plates, ably illustrated by Amy Bartlett Wright. This allows the reader to compare similar looking species--a must with hard-to-differentiate groups like the Blues, where minute differences mean the difference between one genus and another. The illustrations are cross-referenced to fuller descriptions in the second part of the book. Here there is additional information about appearance, food, habitat, flight, and range. As a beginner, I especially like author Paul Opler's decision to organize the butterflies by taxon rather than appearance. As I identify butterflies in the field, I am also learning a bit about the science of these beautiful creatures. Highly recommended.

The Olive Tree and the Fig Tree
this excellent book provides a spiritual and historic insight into the roots of the Modern Messianic Movement. It provides the needed scriptual support that Jewish people seek when asking the Question....Is Yeshua (jesus) truly the Messiah promised to Israel.

Fighter pilot : a personal record of the campaign in France, 1939-1940

Unputdownable - absolutely brilliant
This book covers the often forgotten air war over France in 1940, which preceded the Battle of Britain.

I cannot praise "Fighter Pilot" too highly. Written by a pilot who served throughout WWII it is a vivid and often moving first-hand account of the tragedies and exhilaration experienced by those of the RAF who supported the British Expeditionary Force.

I have read quite a few books covering the same ground and none come close to this.

Figuring Sex Between Men from Shakespeare to Rochester
Published in Paperback by Oxford University Press (August, 2002)

Startling academic study
This smart, amazingly well-researched and groundbreaking study on the literature of sodomy and male love in the 17th Century is written in jargon-free language and is utterly convincing. That's probably because Mr. Hammond doesn't try to overinterpret the evidence he has available (and it is quite alot) but leaves room for doubt and variable readings. This restraint (so rare in gay studies...believe me, I know) makes his book stand out in the field, that and the fact that he has unearthed a treasure trove of literature either unknown or known only to a few specialists. His facts are fascinating, his style engaging. Future research in the history of sexual writing will have to take his work into consideration. Bravo, Mr. Hammond!

SOBERING EYE-OPENER!
I was reading this book in bed one evening, and I came to the section on Modernism. When I read it I sat upright in bed and could not sleep for the entire night! Every Catholic should read this. IT IS OUR CHURCH! We must protect it from the perverted heresy called Modernism.

Innovative and an intelectual challenge
The book is an interesting compilation of essays on financial innovation and the convergence of markets. It takes the reader through diverse structures and strategies to take advantage of capital and insurance markets, and shows the benefits of globalization and disintermediation. I found it very useful for practitioners in finance and risk management and for academics.
