Winning the Mind Game
A friend told me about this book and how it changed the way in which she communicates with people, but I was a little skeptical. I finally broke down and bought the book...and all I can say is SENSATIONAL!! A month ago, I went on a 2-week cruise with my boyfriend. The airline lost his luggage until the last day of our cruise! When we returned, I called the airline, and using the points and suggestions from this book, I got 100,000 free flyer miles, 10 first class upgrade coupons, and the cost of the clothes that we had to buy to replace those the airline misplaced for one week! I would recommend this book to everyone! Buy it, read it, apply it, and WIN! It makes negotiation understandable, and EASY!

Life Changing
I am not a philosopher nor do I claim to know a great deal of this subject but I have begun my quest for spiritual and philosophical guidance about two years ago at the age of 19. I was raised a Christian but have recently read scriptures of all the major religions and even some that are not so major. I completely agree with the perennial philosophy that all religions underline the one universal truth, but I still sought more understanding of life and of our true selves. This book gave me that oppurtunity. It explains the most fascinating concept that I have ever heard, that I now believe, which is mentalism. I could not explain it so I will not try but it is almost unbelievable. The book explains mentalism and how the universe is mentally constructed by not only God (the World-Mind) but also ourselves. He explains many of life's questions like he knows for sure which made me a little skeptical but I can not say they are false without sufficient knowledge which I am searching for as we speak. This book is a must read for any philosophy student, mystic, or even contemporary Christian.

Beautifully photographed. It's sets the standard for underwater photographers worldwide. Probably the finest "coffee table" book of its type.

A wonderful history and an insightful tale
Paul Hallett, a convert to the faith, gives us a moving story of the 50 years he spent in Catholic journalism. The book, however, tells far more than his story.

It also tells the story of Catholicism in America and the creation of the National Catholic Register (a paper that once had a readership that numbered in the millions), and its growth under Monsignor Matthew Smith.

Through Hallett's eyes we are able to see the positive and negative changes that have taken place in the Church, especially since the Second Vatican Council.

As a National Catholic Register journalist myself I found this book extremely interesting. It holds great appeal for any Catholic journalist, and the average Catholic reader as well. It's a history worth reading.

beautiful art, very reasonable price
Readers of North and South magazine will be familiar withthis artist as he often paints the cover and has a full page ad for his gallery in most issues. My copy oddly enough has Fire in the Valley on the cover. The book pictured has Raid on the L and N. Dramitic, finely detailed art with excellent reproduction and unlike many art books not full of white space. The dust jacket has prints on back and front cover and the glossy hardcover reprints the same art. A class production all the way. You might buy it as a gift but will probably want one for yourself. The south makes the cover but north and south are both ictured. I especially liked his paintings of General Nathan Bedford Forrest.

Really cute
Great early chapter book. The trouble Wizard and Wart get into builds to a humorous ending. Ending in the message that vacations are great but there is no place like home.

Cute and Fun
This is a clever book with great wordplay, silly jokes, and a very subtle message about not worrying. Wizard (a wizard) and Wart a dog) are concerned when Zounds (a vulture) announces that "Trouble" is coming. Some minor trouble does come, in a way, but the wizard eventually get things straightened out. And (Don't Look Cause This Will Give Away The Story) the "Trouble" that Zounds was talking about turns out to be just the name of another vulture! The pictures are very colorful yet simply done. A great book for beginning readers or for adults to read to kids. The book has 48 pages divided into 5 short chapters...lots of illustrations and only one to five (or so) sentences per page.

Great Book
This book is great for brlievers in magic of all ages. It comes with five easy spells and guides to help tune your magic. An awesome book for anyone who thinks they may have some magic in them or even if they just truly believe in magic. I've yet to try out spells myself but am anxious to do so.
