Got Skills? You do now!
Dear reader,
I a read a book called Basketball Basics by Mark Vancil. I liked this book because it gives the steps on how to shout, dribble, and pass. It also gives some drills to practise at home. I give this book 4 stars because it's a good learner book, but it only has 124 pages. So if you are a beginner, this is the book for you!

A time in my life when we feared for our children's lives
This book brought back many painful memories of a time when we could not let our children out of our sight for fear they would be snatched up by this monster and found dead and mutilated, days later. The quick apprehension of this killer was made possible by amazing cooperation by agencies and individuals who put aside their conflicts and worked as brothers in arms to protect the children of the community. They made sure that this man would never walk the streets again. Unfortunately this killer became the poster child for the necessity for the death penalty in this state. It is unfortunate that he is not the last.

Comprehensive math model of location and network
This is the 2nd best book after Ahuja et.al. book (Network Flows : Theory, Algorithms, and Applications, 1993). As I said, it's the 2nd best book -so don't be surprised if you found Ahuja's book more useful. However, Daskin did good job to compile both location and network analysis in a single text book. We can see many issues in these areas in this book. I'd love to see more integration both math model and algorithm in this book though. If you don't have Ahuja's book, you may wanna grasp one (it's out-of-stock) before getting this book. However, if you are new to do research in location and network, grasp Daskin's book. You won't be disappointed with this book!

New age politics : healing self and society
Published in Unknown Binding by Dell Pub. Co. ()
Author: Mark Ivor Satin
Amazon base price: $
Used price: $2.95
Average review score:

at the time, almost a masterpiece of political analys
Satin, who now edits an extraordinary political newsletter out of DC, made his first stab in this book at a "grand scale" assessment of what ails the human species. More importantly, he made a valiant attempt to understand how a new person-centered and planetary-conscious politics could heal the damaged psyche and stimulate creative action. And he descibed, in some detail, what that politics would look like. The book was so potent that a political movement began to form around it, taking shape in the New World Alliance. While Satin might be embarrased today to read what he considered then to be the "essence of politics", it is still a pretty powerful document worth reviewing for some potent ideas applicable to our precarious situation today.

Great pictures and facts
This book reviews the history of the tiny town in Ohio that I grew up in. New Bremen, Ohio, might not be found on many maps, but Mark Bernstein covered its story from start to present. He starts by introducing the German immigrants who settled the village and continues up to the 1998 MAC Champion Boys Basketball Team. Go Cardinals! The topics covered include a wide range from World War II to the education at New Bremen Local Schools.

The Best Series Ever
The New Warriors was a dream of Fabian's that he pushed till it came true. This book is a collection of their first appearance in the pages of Thor where they along with Thor take down the Juggarnaut. After that it's the first four issues of the New Warriors title. The first book of New Warriors in this collection is really just a throw together of forming the team quickly when they fight Terrax, but you also get some backround on some of the characters and there's some mystery as to why Night Thrasher is trying to form the team. The next story delves into Thrasher's past from when he first started fighting crime and how the the dealings with his former partners went sour. You can feel his pain and guilt over what happened as well as his fear. It shows the team is willing to deal with his problems even when he isn't. The next one features the Mad Thinker and is there to give backround on the team and make them think about what it is they are trying to do. It's what makes them decide to really come together as a team. The last one in there they fight a bunch of genetically made psychos in a lab and the team for the first time really seems to be on the same page. The series in itself after this moved on and eventually delved deeper into a lot of things and became very gritty dealing with a lot of issues other books weren't touching at the time. This book is worth getting for the beginnings but I would also look into buying the whole series because you really get attached to the characters as you move along and things become very breathtaking as you feel what they feel while reading it.

Excellent for research!
I recently had to write a term paper on the problems with international news, and thought this book really helped me out. Mr. Alleyn really explains the four dillemas in simple form. No fancy journalism jargon, just straight to the point focus. There is an appendix in the back of the book to further discussed and define important information. I wrote my whole paper using this book; I didn't need other sources.
