Prevention's Lose Weight Guidebook 1993
I found this book to be excellent. It has a no-bull approach to weightloss. It is practical and easy to use. It covers all subjects that a dieter would be concerned with. I have read most of the diet books and this one is the most easy to read and makes the most sense. I followed the instructions and have lost 3 pounds since starting this book.

It is not out of date and it still works in the year 2001!

A superbly vivid account of POW life in Hong Kong
The cruelty and depravity demonstrated by the Japanese during their occupation of Hong Kong between 1941 and 1945 is one of the less well-documented chapters of the Second World War. Yet, as George Wright-Nooth demonstrates with such freshness and clarity in this autobiographical account, it is as great a story of heroism, endurance, and poignancy as any other of its time. The image of 33 individuals, British, Chinese and Indian, preparing to be executed by beheading, and being comforted from among their own group by an Sandhurst-trained Indian officer and a Hong Kong Chinese man leading prayers will long remain in the mind. What also brings the book to life are the diary extracts and the author's excellent memory for detail, which superbly capture the sense of a young Englishman caught in the sweep and suffering of a wider tragedy, but somehow retaining his spirit, his inquisitiveness and that uniquely British sense of humour that shines undimmed through fifty years and the terrible things he saw and experienced.

Great introduction to alt.worship
This book is one of the best around for anyone interested in setting up an alternative worship service/experience. The companion CD-Rom has loads of useful resources and suggestions to help. I would recommend this book to anyone who knows they are unhappy with "trad" worship but don't know how to go about exploring alternatives to the old forms of worship.

This is an information Goldmine - and in Full COLOR
I can't say enough good things about this book.. It covers, step by step, the process used to create 'Timmy's Lessons in Nature - Lesson 3'. In case you don't know what 'Lesson's in Nature' are, they were featured in the '2002 Spike & Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation'.

Mark takes you through all aspects of the process.. Budgeting, Timing, Equipment, X-Sheets, Lip Sync, etc... He also provides many demos of the software that they used to make 'Lessons in Nature', as well as some online versions of forms used by the studio, etc..

This Full COLOR book also contains TONS of the preproduction and production artwork for the 'Lessons in Nature' series. The artwork alone makes the book great reference material.

It also has interviews with the people that are the "movers and the shakers" of the Animation Industry both in the US and the UK.. These are people in each facet of the industry - recruiters, producers, animators, etc..

Like I said in the title, this book is a goldmine of information and reference. It is definitely worth the price and is something that you can refer back to time and time again...

Oh, and the ultimate "geek perk" of this book - the really cool flip animations that are on each page..

It really is an awesome addition to my library of animation books and will be one of the most worn out in pretty short order..

Legal Text Does Not Limit Itself to Socratic Method
Mark A. Kinzie, the author, April 2002
Author Comments
PRODUCT LIABILITY LITIGATION was written for law students. The text was designed to provide black-letter law principles of Product Liability through the Restatement Third (1997) and interpretation of these principles through current, issue-specific court opinions. The text differs from traditional approaches to law because it does not simply reprint case law. Instead, the topic is taught through a collection of Restatements, statutes, regulations, law review articles, case studies, and practice materials to give the student the basic parameters of Product Liability. We then expand those parameters through the interpretation given by court opinions, treatises, and law reviews. In each chapter the student is given essential elements, historical development, Restatement principles, a fact synopsis of each case, cites to additional materials, case notes, and case problems. Unique problems with food, component parts, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, used products, handguns, tobacco, and post-sale obligations of manufacturers are considered in Chapter 6. Practical approaches to product liability litigation are considered in Chapter 7. Enjoy.
