A Must for all hard-core ER fans!
This is an amazing guide to the first four seasons of the best show ever made. It's filled with facts on all characters - major and minor - along with show recaps and actor bios. It is essential for all true ER fans to own.

Full of Info
This book is chock-full of information about characters, plotlines and episodes. Although it only goes through the fourth season, leaving certain aspects of characters lives unknown, it is a definite for any ER obsessive. Each main character is discussed in detail, including education, personal life, family members, situations at the hospital and professional evaluations. Each minor character is also discussed briefly. Every episode starting with the pilot through the last season four episode, "A Hole in the Heart" is summarized by plotline as well.

As an ER fan, I found this book informative and fun. Though some newer characters are left out, the book is very detailed and easy to refer to when watching the show. And if you want to know just how many of Mark Greene's relationship were work related, you need this book!

Wow! What an eye opener!
Michael Marks has written a wonderful book. It is a concise, well structured explanation of the misconceptions our churches of today portray about the Jews and about Jesus. The author makes point after point about the validity of the Jewish faith, while affirming the Kingship of Jesus Christ. He backs up every word with scripture. He even coaxes the reader to look up these passages and explanations for him/her self. This book is a must for anyone not satisfied with the usual church explanation that faith is all there is. It may save your life.

Must reading for Gentile believers searching for their roots
Pastor Marks has presented an informative view of the grafting of Gentile believers onto the Jewish root. Despite many typos, this book will contribute to the reconciliation of the Gentile church with the Messianic Jew into one Body.

Marks adeptly points out how the Law (Torah) has not been made obsolete by Yeshua (Jesus) and how Gentile believers owe their salvation to Yeshua's fulfillment of the Law and not simply to God's grace. Marks also presents evidence that the Law has not been made obsolete; rather, the Law is still to be considered valid until the Second Coming.

This work definitely contributes to the "debunking" of Replacement (Covenant) theology as well as to Dispensationalism.

Every believer should read this book.

"New York" is a pleasure
Browsing through a bookstore or online, it sometimes seems that there are as many books of photography of New York City as there are yellow cabs or unemployed dot-com workers. So the first question is why do we need another, followed by, and why this one in particular? The answer is simple. Mark Crosby has an extraordinary eye for this city, and much like Walker Evans, captures the essence of what makes it wholly unique. In Crosby's beautiful and oftentimes surprising images, he reminds you that no matter how well you think you know New York, look again, the city just may surprise you.

Another incredible book from Mark Crosby
Mark's ability to capture the energy and essence of a scene or a life is incredible. His pictures are definately worth more than a thousand words.

Sites of NYC captured in this book are great, even for someone who lives in the city. Sometimes I marvel at how did he get that shot or even "Where is it?". A book this beautiful must have been created by natural talent - skill could never be perfected to this level.

I can't wait for the third book!

Poesch did a wonderful, scholarly and interesting work.
Professor Poesch has done a wonderful, scholarly work which is both readable and "reference-able". I was lucky enough to see the Newcomb Pottery retrospective exhibition (many years ago) at Tulane during an architectural history meeting and hear a few words from Prof. Poesch. This author's humbly priced volume is a priceless record of some very important research and history on the topic of Newcomb ceramics, as well as an insightful report of the enterprise and its craftsmen and craftswomen during this interesting period. The collection of pictures is a rare treat to the eye, given how far-flung are the presented examples.

A historical glimpse into the past of decorative pottery
This book gives an excellent history of the Woman's role in decorative ceramic Pottery during the early 1900's. It is a beautiful sourcebook that introduces not only a destinctive Art form, but highlights the individual Artists involved. The Art reflects a respect for the South and Southern enviornment showing designs of animals and plants found in the Deep South. It is a true American history of Pottery displaying a unique, refined Southern Style.

A must have for a newsletter specialist!
In all the books I have on newsletter design, this has been the most beneficial! It offers many great examples in full color stating what each design has to offer. It has lots of tips and addresses each part that goes into newsletters from nameplates to the mailing panel. I wish they would come out with a new one!

Great for Designing Newsletter Style Websites!
Good design and layout is important for the success of any Website. Websites are created to share information of one sort or another and do not follow any one design pattern. One popular design format for sharing information online that we should be familiar with is the newsletter style that is intended to communicate information in similar fashion as the common newsletters we get in the mail. Most news reporting Websites use this same format. Mark Beach and Elaine Floyd have written Newsletter Sourcebook to offer readers plenty of sample layouts and creative newsletter design assistance.

The book measures 8 1/2" by 11" and contains many full-colored examples of newsletter layouts and design tips. Many of the samples can be easily adapted for Website design purposes. Although this book is not intended to deal entirely with Website design principles, the placement of graphic images, the effective use of colors, the creative use of columns, the struc! ture of text, and font selection can assist Website designers to produce top-notch newsletter Websites. A number of Website screen shots are provided to display the impact made by online newsletters.

With a little re-working this book could easily pass for a Website design handbook. The advantages of using this book are crystal clear. The authors have been in the newsletter business for many years. This book is proof of it. Their experience is demonstrated by the detailed work exhibited throughout. Anyone can achieve similar results. Additionally, when time is short the Website designer can quickly thumb through this book for easy ideas to put to use. All that is necessary is basic knowledge of HTML programming and/or the use of good Website design software programs.

Begin creating newsworthy Websites, newsletters, and other forms of promotional literature for yourself and for others with this great resource book today. This is a must-have book!

excellent colllection of heart felt personal stories.
Probably the best and most complete description of what it means to grow up Jewish and female in America during the twentieth century. I especially liked the very personal and well written account of a death in the family written by Jennifer Futernick

A Winner! A warm and touching story of miracles...
This was a Christmas gift for my six year old son from his grandparents and very age appropriate. My husband read it the first time to him and both truly enjoyed it. The poetic verse makes it a nice easy read for us as parents and also something my early reader can pick up and read. The first thing my son said when they finished was "what a nice story it was." It tells the story of a little boy and how he was touched by an angel in such a sweet and tender and believable way. I believe in angels and in our house we talk of angels a lot since his cousin died at the young age of 2 1/2. This book is a great find for someone who has lost a child or for children who are dealing with the death of a loved one or just inquisitive about death. It gives hope to all who believe. I highly recommend it and will look for other books by Mark Kimball Moulton.

Heart-Touching Story
This book is so fasinating! It is a wonderful story of gardian angel care for those children who are in danger. Wonderful picture book for children. Story is beautifully illustrated through Mrs. Winget's wonderful artistry. The pictures carry you away into the world of this young boy and his adventure one icy night!

Very helpful for pastors and church leaders
Dever majors in the majors with this book by focusing on how pastors and other church leaders should approach preaching, theology, the gospel, conversion, evangelism, church membership, discipleship and leadership. It is a great read for those who don't just want to complain about the state of the church today, but who actually want some biblical, positive direction.

The first chapter on expositional preaching is especially helpful because he provides a biblical foundation to the idea that the preaching the Word is the most fundamental duty of the church pastor. His chapters on membership and leadership are also great because he marshals a biblical argument for having high expectations of members and for elders as a biblical office, respectively.

More than anything, after reading Nine Marks of a Healthy Church, I walked away understanding that God has given a lot more direction regarding the day to day operations of His church than I thought.

Excellent book on what matters for a church
This incredible book focus your attention not on the pragmatic but the principled. It is a fresh look on what's really important in a church - namely, spiritual growth as seen in those growing in their love for God and for the the things that He loves. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is dissapointed in the way church seems to mirror much of what secular offer.
