Gil Marks has done a fine job in presenting a variety of menus for all occassions. The recipes are calculated for generous party size servings, making it easy to plan events and shopping lists. The recipes are clear, straight forward and tasty, the book layout very user friendly. This book might also be a good resource for caterers.

The book extensively explaines the intricit working of a U-boat and illustrates them clealy. It is a very interesting book and I read it cover to cover.

This book is indeed a masterpiece and it is great for someone who is studying to be an engineer or is interested in architecture. It is fantastic and has everything from the Lovely Louvre to the palace at Petra, from the Great Golden Gate to the construction of the Chrysler. It shows fine examples of art deco, modern, classical, Greek, Muslim etc. architectural wonders. It not only explains and shows the construction of these great buildings, but for certain buildings it also shows their plan, it's legends, along with information about who built it, why did they build it, whom did it build it for, when was it built, and where it is. It also has sections showing the greatest styles of architecture ever used along with a series of historic sites in the world. All in all this is a fantastic and very useful guide to the masterpieces of Architecture and Engineering.

OK, my knee-jerk reaction to this book was, "Finally, some THOUGHTFUL words on worship!" But let's face it, books on evangelical worship are a dime-a-dozen these days with little new being said and a lack of thoughtfulness (not sincerity). As for books on worship and the theology of worship: the standard has been significatly raised.

Not so with this book! Dr. Carson's introductory essay alone is worth this book. But, there is a lot more that it offers: following some insightful remarks by the editor (Carson) there are three theoretical/applicable studies written by Mark Ashton (Anglican -- Cranmer), R. Kent Hughes (Free Church), and Timothy J. Keller (Reformed).

Each writes from their own tradition (as a pastor), providing a semi-apologetic and a passion for the approach. Further, each writer includes sample services to help show what each tradition "looks like" in practice.

I recommend this to:
1)those tired of reading the same old stuff on worship
2)those unfamiliar with the theology of worship (this is a good intro)
3)those unfamiliar with different doctrinal/denominational traditions
4)church elders and leaders who plan worship
5)those desiring more...

This book has introduced me to a new side of teaching math. It is an excellent resource book for any teacher who wants to ensure that students don't just memorize their time tables, but actually understand the methods and steps they are taking. Ms. Marks Krpan's book contains straighforward explanations and great real-life exaples from students of all ages. With the help of the Write Math my students have improved their math grades and actually look forward to their math assignments!

I think this is an excellent book which shows the truth on the hearts of the world's youth. Many books today work to stigmatize or give a bad name to this generation when infact, as this book demonstrates, we are a generation of hopful, honest, and motivated young men and women.

This book is an excellent companion piece to any textbook for any class in psychology that includes signtificant writing assignments. The authors move through the stages of paper-writing from the first venture to the library's electronic search engines through the final revisions. It contains many "hints" that other such books fail to include. Highly readable and engaging.

I homeschool my three children (ages 5,9,11) and am always looking for academically rigourous texts that are fun too. It's difficult to find curricula that fulfill both requirements, but this series does. Clear instruction focuses on an incremental approach to improving writing skills. My kids have learned (and continue to learn in level 4) how to use language with clarity, write to interest readers, organize information, write vivid descriptions. When so much out there is fluff (memorizing grammar rules, making kids worry more about how neat their handwriting is than how clear their thinking is), books like Writing Strands make me remember why I homeschool.

Finally the greatest X-Man of all time has returned! Featuring a great story which will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat!
