This book takes a well-disciplined approach to reviewing the information overload our society seems to be in. The problem with the web is it has TOO much information. How do we find what WE want? Google is good at KEYWORD search, but it sometimes returns thousands of records. What about when I have a specific question? About.Com and AskJeeves was a good place to start, but they promote advertisers first.
This book shows how we can relate all of this information on a HUMAN level, the semantic web in human context. It is not technical, and shows great examples in multiple pictures.
If you want to get a handle on your information, both on a personal or business level, this book is THE place to start.

well as i said before this game rocks!

I really enjoyed this book as I am a big fan of both college football and college basketball. It has the stories behind the nicknames of most of the major schools and some of the smaller ones as well. I thought it was well written and extremely interesting. I have also loaned it to many friends after they have seen it at my house and they enjoyed it as well.

This book is a wholesome family and nature oriented book for boys 3-8 years old. My son has spent countless hours playing out the theme of this book - never tiring of the many options it offers. If you have a budding oceanographer or tide-pooling enthusiast this is the book for you. Any landlocked readers can enjoy the book just as well. The book's pictures fill the pages as well as the mind with dreamy images that bring the whole story to life. The words and images are really a hand and glove that make a perfect fit. The book also models working together as a family and that children can have an important place in helping. Grandma's get a boost here too as quick and creative planners. Nigth of the Moonjellies is also a gentle reminder to save some of the present for the future, without heavy sentimentality. A great book to read if you include any aquariums in your vacations. Don't forget about Aliki's great "My Visit to the Aquarium" book.

This book rocks! The portrayal of evil is in the truest form that I have ever encountered in a fantasy novel. The exciting saga continues where 'Zorachus' left off. The heretic priest is now hell-bent on total self-annihilation. His beliefs call for him to repent, but his soul refuses to let him. His solution to his dilemma is to bring the Dark Lord into his body, destroying the world and himself with it. His old comrades are now his worst enemies and will stop at nothing to keep the obsessed priest from succeeding. The book keeps you riveted until the very end, but is it really the end? Read and find out for yourself. Then read 'The Blood of the Lamb trilogy'.

This book is excellent because it gives the viewpoint of someone who is hyperactive in a positive manner. It shows children that being different is not necessarily bad but God made everyone different for a reason. The mouse in the book seems to develop strengths from his hyperactivity. We have certainly enjoyed reading this book with our children along with the cassette version. We highly recommend this book.

This is a very age-appropriate devotional for pre-teen boys and girls. Each day's devotion is a story with a topic to which kids can relate. It is comparable to other children's devotionals such as The One Year Book of Devotions for Kids. This is a good devotional to get kids into reading and becoming familiar with their Bibles.

Reading Nocturne will take about a day and it will be a day well spent, in my opinion. On one level Nocturne is a spy novel set against the backdrop of an economic summit in Venice during the late 1980s. Charectors, each with their own agendas, wage shadowy war against one another with the highest stakes imaginable. On another level, though, Nocturne is a mediation on friendship, redemption, and revenge.

Two of the most interesting charectors in the novel are not the spies, but the musician and doctor couple, ordinary people who are thrown into a situation far from ordinary. They are forced to draw upon strength neither thought they had. Think about Jimmy Stewert and Doris Day in The Man Who Knew Too Much and you'll see what I mean.

Indeed, Hitchcock in his prime could have made a splendid movie from Nocturne.

It's great to have some really positive role models finally appear again in baseball that kids & adults can both enjoy.Topping the list is Nomar Garciaparra.His talents on the field are matched in life by the positive role model-life he leads.Just watching him play ball is a joy! Reading about what it takes to make a major league baseball player will inspire many youngsters out there. After reading this book you'll be looking for baseball tickets yourself just to cheer him on.Today ,in this world, we need more stories out there for kids about people who are role models, who DO achieve goals,dreams, & also lead a positive life. Nomar does all of these, creats an excitment along with it. I throughly enjoyed this myself & encouraged my children to read it. How lucky I am to live near Boston and be able to watch him play!Nomar is a winner before he ever swings the bat! You'll enjoy this one!

A friend gave me this book a while back and I thought it really got to what is wrong with our two-party system. The book is quite funny in places as well. The biggest downside is that he never really tells us what animal mascot (New Party Animal) we should look for to join the donkey and elephant. He leaves it up to the reader, and my bet right now is that it should be a pro wrestler!
