This book provides a straightforward approach to improving help desk performance. The foundation, as the title proclaims, is service goals and metrics. My first reaction when the book arrived was mild disappointment because it was little more than a pamphlet. However, it is packed with excellent information, a lot of which has guided me in developing service delivery and service level measurement processes. I like the way the author stays focused on service goals and his choice of metrics with which to measure the attainment of those goals. Therefore, despite this book's page count it provides excellent value because the content is so well thought out. If you follow the guidelines you will have a good starting point for a service delivery process that is based on measured performance. I highly recommend this book to help desk managers and consultants who are assigned to service delivery projects.

The hero in this story is finely drawn, a carefully crafted jewel of contradictions. He has the toughness, courage and principles of Robert B. Parker's Spencer, but is ultimately more complex and conflicted. The story is moving and unforgettable with something for everyone: romance, searing, heart-stopping action, and an engaging mystery that has a shocking, surprise ending. But, what is also fantastic, is its basis in reality. Anyone who has worked in the inner city knows that the horrible places he writes about actually exist.

It is simply a great book. I had been looking for books with Bengali and Tibetian recipes. Most Indian cookbooks make the recipes so elaborate. The recipes in this book tastes like what my mother and grandmother cook! I was so happy to find that my momos tasted like momos from Darjeeling! He writes about everyday food with some special occasion recipes thrown in. And that is what sets it apart feom the elborate cookbooks, a sense of the everyday life. I have many of his books and have enjoyed all of them

I am a plant scientist, and approached this book attracted by the name of one of the greatest biologists of this century. I did not expect, however, the deep emotions which emanate from this enticing story. Well written; investigative journalism at its best. Almost Dr. Zhivago-like true story under the Stalin regime. I enjoyed every line. Mandatory for Plant Biologists, but undoubtedly appealing to any reader with interest in Science and modern History.

Cut to the chase! That is what this book is all about. If I'm in a hurry to find the answer I don't want to hunt through the text to find what I'm looking for. The chart format lays it all out for quick review. Also, it is much easier to view options in similar categories. This is truly a book that lives up to it's title. Definately want to keep this book close by for easy access. Why didn't someone think of this sooner?

As a man it's easy to feel like you're the only one feeling what you're feeling, like no-one will fully understand. This book shows how the forming of connections between men in the form of close friendships can provide a bridge to an understanding many of us are lacking. This book brought me to tears many a time as I realised the far-reaching implications of what it said. I now see that the closeness of childhood with others should be continued in adult life with those of the same sex. I think the ideas in this book are the antidote for the suffering we feel caused by the expectations of society to be something we deep down know is wrong. I think this is a very fine book and Bob and Buddy have a lot to be proud of, I am extremely grateful to them for writing it and hope they will write more.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is new to PC and Console Gaming in general. A more seasoned gamer also could gain insight into genres they are not normally familiar with. But either way it is a great source of info for a ton of games on the market.

This book supplemented a course I took on the works of Woolf. It is filled with interesting background material and helpful character biographies. Hussey skillfully condensed volumes of biographical and critical work on Woolf into one, user-friendly manual.
