This Captain's Log follows on from the original book detailing all of the original series, The original crew movies and TNG up to the end of season 5. This new book features DS9's first four seasons and Voyager's first two in more detail than the earlier work and is one of the few insights available into these shows. The authors aren't known as these series' greatest fans but they don't let it show and its a credit to them that you neither feel this is a studio puff piece nor a poison review book. It's objective, and that's something few Trek non-fiction books have. What's refeshing is the writers are interviewed more than in most publications so you get an insight as to how they perceived their work. Stories you or I may have liked aren't always the ones they are most proud of and vice versa. A must for anyone interested in Star Trek as a whole or just wishing to re-evaluate their stance on the 'younger' shows.

I can't say this book is guaranteed to find you a job, but it IS guaranteed to make your use of the Web to look for a job (or job applicants) much more efficient

I consider this book an interesting tool for an international law class, because of its variety of cases and its handling of matters such as jus cogens, that makes it really didactic and comprehensible. Worth to be have in mind by University professors, students and investigators of this law area.

This book explains how basic and advanced marketing principals and practices are applied and are to be applied to the succesful marketing or a professional sports franchise. If you are a business studet or recent graduate and want a fun and rewarding career read this book and get all the info you need.

My cat (of six years ) recently passed away from a virus,and since i have two more cats to take care of, this book helped me to learn about the common diseases and there symptoms.It covers over 60 common diseases and lets you recognize immediatley when your pet needs medical attention,plus informs you step by step on first aid and what to do incase of emergencies.This book also contains lots of helpful pictures showing you how to handle your pet during a certain situation,i'm not going to lie to you but there are pictures of sick cats that'll make you feel a bit uneasy.For all cat lovers out there i highly recommend it.

This offbeat French novel (which won the Prix Médicis in 1983) is hard to pin down. It more or less follows the story of George Chave, a tall but otherwise nondescript middle-aged Parisian collector of jazz records. He lives off a meager inheritance until one day he meets a woman, falls in love, and discovers the need for greater income. This more or less leads him to a job at a very strange detective agency, where he is involved in searches for a rare missing parrot, a runaway wife, the heir to a great fortune, and becomes entangled in a weird cult. Along the way one meets geriatric booksellers, giant thugs, intrepid policemen, suspicious private eyes, a homicidal cousin, actors and actresses, an odd Englishmen, a police informer, and several others. That, in a nutshell, explains what's wrong with the book-there are too many characters in too small a space and keeping track of everyone's agendas gets to be rather a chore. However, the prose is both dry and humorous, and worth reading for its' own sake. You have to love a book that starts with, "One day a man came out of a shed."
