Our school recently did a one-act play version of "Children of a Lesser God." Let me say that the subject is very embracing: a hearing-impaired woman's struggle for acceptance in a hearing world. I find that the most qouted line in our play was from Sarah: "It is a silence full of sound." Truthfully, the most gut-wrenching scene is near the end, as the two main characters have an argument over lip-reading as opposed to signing. If you'll take my opinion, you should definately purchase this playbook. I considered it to be a real eye-opener.

Dr. Ensalaco is one of my professors at the University of Dayton. We had to read this book for his Political Violence course. The book is extremely insightful and probes deeply into the repression of the political left under the Pinochet regime. The information isn't just anti-Pinochet propganda, but gives the facts from both sides of the repression, from assassination attempts by the left to disappearences of leftists and their sympathizers without trials or records that they were ever arrested. If you want to read an insightful account of the situation in Chile during the Pinochet years, I recommend that you buy this book.

I saw the film CHOPPER, starring Eric Bana, and I was Amazed by the Story of Mark "Chopper" Read! I found this Book first, the sequel to the Bestselling Austrailan Hit biography. I Devoured it! I don't really read much about True Crime, But here was a unique and original voice, And this guy was not even in Jail when I was reading it! I was Blown Away! It keeps me on the Straight & Narrow. Hey Parents! Have a Smart-alecky Kid? Give 'em this book for Christmas, it'll change their Gangsta view of Crime & Criminals!

For a man who spent most of his life in jail excelent writing. Is it fiction or faction?. Buried bodies, buried guns and buried money. Australia`s underworld at it`s best. The italian maffia can eat their heart out for the violence in this book. Sex, drugs and murder at it`s best.
A must read for everybody who loves all the above.

I have never heard of Mr. Pearson before, but when I saw his book and read it, his book made sense about the subject of healing. It is written in a plain, user-friendly and understandable manner and serves as comprehensive guide to the area of healing from the Christian perspective. What I like most in his book is the way he tackled about the role of prayer in healing, the importance of the healing ministry and the development of the gifts of healing. Straightforward and direct, this book is so easy to read that I finished it in one sitting! It should be read as a good comprehensive guide on the subject of healing from the Christian point of view. Certainly one of the best books on healing that I've read!

This book truly exemplifies the true meaning of christmas, to love one another. When Rob, the 15 year old boy of a modest farm family, overhears his parents talking, he comes to realize the love his father has for him and the love he also holds for his father. Not having the money to purchase a gift that he feels expresses this love, he chooses to surprise his father by doing the morning milking and chores before the usual 4AM. He sneaks out to the barn and his heart bursts with love as he waits for his father to discover the surprise. The illustrations are beautiful, dark and dusky like the time of day before surnrise, and the clouds in the sky take the shape of the Holy Family on the first Christmas. A valuable lesson for all. The gift of love is the most precious gift of all.

I've spent the last year daily exploring the wonderful territory that is von Balthasar's theology. From the Glory of the Lord through Theo-dramatics. McIntosh takes you directly to his heart. There are other helpful introductions and guides, but none captures the beauty of his work with such skill, precision, and depth. Don't even try to tackle von Balthasar without this book.

I laughed, I cried, I gave it away for x-mas and new years!!!! Mark Miller you the man!!!!
