I keep this book handy at all times. Reading each passage is how I start my day and I often reflect back on the daily "insights." I recommend this book to ANYONE and EVERYONE as the thoughts are inspiring and thought provoking.

This book is the real deal: sharp, smart, and engaging. A deceptively "easy" read, it's got a smooth surface w/ plenty of barbs hidden underneath, making it the perfect sort of book to return to for multiple readings. Buy it; buy copies for your friends; buy copies to hand out to people waiting on their double mocha lattes at Starbucks. They'll thank you for it later.

Although we've left the 20th century behind, the literature of this era has a truly unique position within the context of critical history. Mark McGurl outlines with irrefutable clarity the rare role authors of this period played in developing writing in the form of novels into an indubitable artform. While at once an obvious assumption made by today's standards, McGurl traces the development of modern conception throughout the century, reminding the reader contemporary thought was at one point revolutionary. Fascinating, compelling, and brilliantly written, The Novel Art is a must-have addition to any literature student's collection.

This concise guide is even better than Cliffs NOtes and contains the author biography, plot summary, character analysis, themes, style, historical context, critical overview and criticism for 16 novels. Novels include: A Tale of Two Cities, The Sun Also Rises, The Pearl, Ethan Frome, The Color Purple, Les Miserables, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Bean Trees, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, How the Garcia Girls lost their Accents, The Outsiders, Like Water for Chocolate, Ender's Game, Love Medicine, Giants in the Earth, and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. This series covers the high points for each novel and also has great side topics: Compare and Contrast, Media Adaptions, Topics for Further Study, etc. Useful as both a study guide and a reseach source, it sucessfully highlights the points in approximately 25 pages per novel.

The Book, Now I Get It, by Larry Beason and Mark Lester is an excellent source for learning or improving your grammatical skills. The book is helpful in that it gives clear instructions. Beason and Lester included things like Proofreading Checklist, The Botton Line, Tips, and Reviews. The book is set up in an easy to use format. All related items have their own section, and each item has their own chapter within the section. I reccomend this book for anyone who needs to improve their grammar or if they need a quick reference.

Lots of cartoonists drop a few "daddy-os" and think they've brought back the beat generation, or toss in some tilted shadows and think they've single-handedly revived film noir. But Ricketts actually knows his stuff, and he makes these two disparate styles sing in "Nowheresville," his salute to the two coolest trends of the '50s. Never stooping to simple kitsch, "Nowheresville" is instead an exciting, complex examination of guilt and redemption. Rickett's art is the equal to his writing, evoking the bygone era with simplicity and style.

There are several comprehensive nuclear medicine textbooks and I have used them all from time to time. This is without a doubt the most clinically relevant, and contains excellent radiopharmacy and basic science information as well.

This is an excellent book for students of the nursing profession. Clear concise details are given. It is ideal for studies and I consider it to be a 'Nurses' Bible" and it is one I will keep and refer to forever. Recommended for all medical students. You can't get a better book at this price.

It took me a while to appreciate this collection of utilities. Only until I sat down in front of someone else's computer, did I really miss Power Rename and all the right-click menu addons. At under twenty bucks, it's a bargain.
