More Quizzes...is an excellent teacher resource. The book provides quizzes for beginning readers to higher level books. With More Quizzes, I am able to quickly test the student's reading comprehension. Additionally, the teacher's manual section of the book provides helpful organizational and documentation tools.

Recently having been enrolled in a multimedia law class for my degree program, I found the information in the book valuable enough for submission to this review. The content herin is definately worth checking out if you are an individual seeking to create multimedia content. Though the text is law oriented, it reads quite well. Having zero law experience didn't hinder my growth as a law weilding artist. I learned such invaluable tools as contract writing, copyright law, the five rights held to a copyright, sound law (mp3's are illegal) and many other tools to help me stay safe in the industry. Though complex in structure the content is delivered in a format worth checking out. Once you can cut through the rhetoric that all lawyers speak this can be a wonderous tool to any multimedia creators library.

This book provides the information required to determine where, and if an area is suitable for a mural design. It talks about selection of a wall, developing a theme, transferring a sketch to a wall, and even paint mediums. It includes a glossary for those new to muraling and perhaps unfamiliar with "mural art vocabulary." This book is not for backyard graffiti taggers, but for the artist whose well-thought-out ideas become an artistic means of respectful communication and a theme to share within a community. It would have been even better yet had the stetches and mural examples been in color.

This fresh theological examination of music composition and participation combines a thoroughly Biblical worldview with careful attention to the postmodernity of our time. The musical freedoms and responsibilities of both Christian composers and the Christian community as a whole are considered, with an eye toward encouraging the Church to formulate a leading theology of art music now and for the future. The author asserts that such a theology must be rooted firmly in the concept of Jesus Christ as Lord of all creation and creativity.

This is a responsible and useful (if a bit dull) guide to Brazilian popular music of this century up to the early 1970s (when it was first published). It's very weak on the last twenty years, however. A good resource, but not as good as "The Brazilian Sound" (Temple University Press), which is much more comprehensive and also more fun to read.

Not bad! Really great photo's in the book

I happened to come across this book while actually in Koror, Palau (Koror was the capital of the Nan'yo, the Japanese governing body for Micronesia) during a vacation and read it while I was there. In general, it is worth reading if you are are a student of Japan's occupation policies of southeast asian countries during the war. It is very detailed but could have focused more on military strategy, but the book is not really about that, its about how Japan built up, governed, then lost its colonies in Micronesia-- colonies which would most likely be in a much better economic state than there are in now, arguably, if the Japanese were still there running things.

Texans have often been viewed by other Americans-indeed, the World-as "a bit different." Mark Nackman's NATION WITHIN A NATION goes a long way in explaining this phenomenon. Nackman traces the development of Texas nationalism during its time as a provence of Mexico, a republic, and a state in the Union. As a republic, Texas (the only state that can claim a previous existance as an independent nation) essentially developed its own peculiar "nationality" which is still very much in existence today. This is a well researched, scholarly book that will appeal to readers interested in Texas history and the development of Texas culture.

this book dives into the science of the nazi war machine. it was very interesting for those of you who appreciate political science. it eliminates the myth of nazi's as shown through propiganda, and goes into the bare facts of this group. overall for fans of nazi writings, this is a must read
