This is the best book on Mark I have ever read. Brudon's style and insights make this book more valuable than any commentary for understanding Mark's themes. This book may well revolutionize your understanding of God and our place as his disciples

As other reviewers have already noted, this is a fantastic book.
The author has fully researched the subject and presents details of many little known facts from the first Confederate submarines which attempted unsuccessful underwater attacks to the first Union submarine that had been intended to sink the ironclad Merrimac (Virginia). The book goes far beyond the history of the Hunley and certainly is a must for anyone interested in the Civil War or the history of the development of submarines. Highly recommended.

if you are looking for a book about Gor here it is this really tells how Gorean Masters really act tword women (slaves) women are just property to them nothing more ..... this book really gets into the Gorean tradtions it was a wonderful book to read and i will read it over and over ..... i am not Gorean but I did like to read this book

This is a superb text whose editors have done yeoman duty coalescing the work of the best scientists in the field. The articles within this tome are remarkably accessible to the layperson, such as myself, keenly interested in astronomy, its history, and its current research. The authors of the articles in this encyclopedic work have exercised commendable care in documenting their sources, back to and including Galileo's pioneering work to discover that, contrary to the doctrine of the time, the Sun's disc isn't free of "blemishes." This is the first work (of many) I've studied which made crystal-clear how the variation in sunspot paths across the disc during the year served to support some conjectures and refute others concerning the Sun.

all of those, who wants to understand what is Web Services technically, must have this book. many books related to Web Services tend to be unnecessarily in more critical or descriptive side but, this book is not the case.

Ten years ago I worked professionally in the field of osteoporosis, and found this book to be an excellent and very well documented update on the science of calcium and bone health. I have always been a sceptic about whether we truly need so much calcium, but this book is so well documented and well written that I have made a dramatic change in my beliefs and practices.

This book gives you each of the Superman covers. The second twenty five years are a little more polished and better than the first twenty five. The artistic simplicty and style of the times are apparent in this volume. A more innocent time; where comics did not attempt to recreate Frank Miller's "Dark Knight" with each passing month. The "Death of Superman" story did little more than make the character into a darker version. I'm glad the "All American" Superman is back though. His current stories reflect the classic character we all know and love.

This is an awesome book. I am 15 and have read EVERY Survivor book. This book is NOT about the television show. Yes, it is endorsed by the television series and all but it is a life saving book. This is similar to the Boy Scout Handbook but with a Survivor twist. Mark Burnett ONLY wrote the introduction, he did not write the WHOLE book. Another thing that this has is illustrations of what you need to do to survive. This is a great book if you are planning on camping any time soon because something could go wrong and at your fingertips you have ALL the resources you need to survive. I totally recommend this if you camp. But if you are a couch potato and don't plan on leaving any time soon you really don't need this book. Unless you are going to choke on a potatoe chip, then you can read the section on Choking and the Heimlich. I know I didn't spell that right. But this book is a great edition to the survivor fans library. Buy It!

The theory, loudly proclaimed by E.P. Sanders, never sat well with me. He argued that all Judaisms in the first century shared a common core and that all Israel would have a place in the world to come. Well, this is the rabbinic view from much later. But, as Mark Adam Elliott demonstrates with incredible thoroughness in this book, the evidence from texts that actually existed in the first century shows that universalism in Israel was not common. The Essenes and the communities behind the Pseudepigrapha held to the idea of a remnant, that only certain ones would be saved. Different communities had different criteria for getting into the remnant. Elliott's book is more than a defense of a theory about 1st century Judaism, it is an excellent commentary on selected portion from the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Pseudepigrapha.
