GREAT ROOKIE'S BOOK
Don't you hate it when you're trying to learn about how to care for your pets, and the book you're reading has no photographs in it? I know I do. This book has SO many bright, informative photos of dogs and their owners that even my little sister, who would normally rather dive head-first off the side of the Harbour Bridge than pick up a reference book, is becoming interested in the world of dogs. Keep on writing them this well, Evans. See ya!

MATURE CHOOSE-YOUR-OWN-ADVENTURE
Violence, ninjas, barbarians, demons, caves, dungeons, assassinations, etc. This book has just about everything you could want. I first got hooked on this series a LONG time ago but I still remember it. Easy to play, fun to read. Nice artwork. A must-read for all Japanophiles. To be honest, I'm not sure if I read--no, EXPERIENCED is the right word--this book, but chances are I did. Anyway, I remember how fun it was and I hope that you feel the same. It's a pity that these books went in vogue because I feel that they were really amazing in their own little way. It's not all just violence, either. There are some parts in some of the books where you have to choose advisors, because you're a ninja king. Great for the imagination.

of some interest
In many ways, this is a disappointing book. Predictable in its attempt to create a 'scathing' rebuttal to the hideous 'Bell Curve', this book offers little to anyone versed in the incredible variety of contemporary feminist discourse. For those prepared for some *real* thinking, try more transgressive/radical voices, such as Patricia Williams, bell hooks, Mary Daly, and many others; also, see various radical works related to Lacan. The Assault on Equality is simply too simple, a statement of the obvious racism and stupidity of Charles Murray et al., and it cannot be said to contribute orginial thinking on the issue of race. Feminists in particular will find this book a bit simple-minded. Well intentioned, but dull, even as the authors are trying to sound angry.

Nothing else out there is like it!
My students really enjoyed thinking about ways to verify database information associated with a dating service. A fun industry to think about, but the concepts and skills are anything but lightweight. Great package.

Astonished at his doctrine : a historical examination of the doctrine of William Marrion Branham

A Historical Examination of the Doctrine of William Branham
From 1947 to 1965 William Branham preached over 1100 sermons, which have been preserved on magnetic tape for distribution worldwide by Spoken Word Publications. Recently these same sermons have been placed on CD ROM disks...and now accessible both in sound and print form with the aid of a computer.

At the very least, a cursory survey of this material will yield some extraordinary findings: among them, thousands of documented miracles and thousands of additional prophecies great and small. Together with these, of course, there is the preaching and teaching.

Over the years, it has not been the miracles or the prophecies which have been held to ridicule or questioned by informed sources. The proof of the authentic nature of this ministry is so easily obtainable and so extensive and forms so great a body of evidence that attempting to deny it would be futile and irresponsible.

William Branham's teachings, however, are another matter. This is where the greatest criticism has come in recent years. It is said that William Branham was indeed a mighty prophet, that the gifts God placed in his life to discern spirits, perform miracles, and receive visions are unprecedented in all of Church history, from the days of the Apostles to present. But by attempting to handle God's Word, conventional wisdom has it, William Branham entered into a ministry he was not called to.

In the Dictionary of Cults, Sects, Religions & The Occult, the three doctrines listed as taut by William Branham which are most offensive to historical Christian orthodoxy, are the following:

1)The Godhead
2)Serpent's Seed
3)The Malachi Prophet

In this book the Author refutes the claims that the teachings of William Branham are heterodox by addressing these three issues.

A must read for anyone interested in the subject.

Get in the Cockpit and Fly
If you love aircraft, this is a book for you ! The photography of the cockpits is stunning. The information about the control and instruments of flying from the day Wright Brothers, to the Spirit of St. Louis, the Warbirds of WW II, to today's Spacecraft
is extraodinary ! I bought the book just to have a photo of the greenhouse of th B-29 Superfortress, my plane in WW II. I was not disapointed. A plus was a view of the A Squares of my 497th bomb Group, 73rd Wing of the 20th Air force in formation.

"A Slugger, Mark McGwire"
I enjoy all of Matt Christopher's books especially his "Sport Bio" ones. I checked out this grand book at the public libary. "At The Plate With Mark McGwire" is a great book because it's all the way Matt Christopher writes, the way he wrote this book was especially GREAT. The way Matt Christopher wrote when McGwire was little to when he was a slugger, when he "stunk", and much more.I really hope people of all ages read about such a star.

An introductory guide to Atari 8 bit assembler.
This book is the most concise introduction to 6502 assembler with specific application to the Atari 8 bit line of computers that I have read. It compliments Mapping The Atari and De Re Atari quite nicely. Some topics of note include IOCB and Atari graphics, and a bit of sample source code for these are included.
