Great book!
I have read numerous books and manuals on how to mount a deer. Most were out-of-date for the times. I found this book to be very helpful and an easy step by step method of explaining. One is able to follow along and understand exactly what is going on, without getting lost. The pictures also help, along with clear descriptions of what products are used and how to use them. It leaves little unanswered. There is also a detailed overview of what was talked about in previous chapters and what products were used for what purpose. I enjoyed her layed back approach that gives one confidence. Definitely an up to date book. I highly recommend this book over an others. Hands down, no question about it!!

A good read! Funny and bizarre...
I understand this is the author's first novel. This book is very entertaining and enlightening. It was funny, poignant, and gave me (being a woman) insight into the mind of a man in the midst of a crisis.
I really enjoyed some of the main character's quirks and sarcastic observations of the people around him.
I would recommend this book highly and am looking forward to the next one by this new talented author.

A Brilliant Review
This book was a very good book. It tells most of the things you need to know about Mark Twain, and it tells them in an interesting way. The only problem with using this book to write a report about Mark Twain's life is that it doesn't include some things that you might need to know. For example, it doesn't say the school he went to (which was John Dawson school). It also doesn't say too much about his children or wife. But it does tell a lot of good details, even little ones, about his life. I think this is a good book if you want to learn about Mark Twain or write a report about him.

British Writing of the 3nd World War (Oxford English Monographs)

the best book yet about british writing of world war two
Yes, I admit it I'm the author's wife - but who better to write a review? You can be sure I've read this book in all its versions, several times, from cover to cover and checked the index. The verdict? I'm pleased to recommend Rawlinson's exploration of the literary culture of the war years as the best book yet published in this area.

It is hugely informative, argued with verve and in a style which (I admit)is sometimes challenging - how often did I write "clarify" in the margins? - but also thought-provoking.He includes substantial sections on Richard Hillary, Keith Douglas and Elizabeth Bowen amongst others. Not only literary texts, but the broader historical and cultural context of the war years are brilliantly illuminated.

I hope that readers will be convinced of my honesty here (I did go for four rather than five stars) in saying that this book is essential reading for any scholar of the literature of the second world war and highly recommended for the interested general reader.

This might be one of the finest pediatric book that you will read . As a nursing student, this book save me a lot of time for my reading and give me the information that I want or needed upfront. My test result are great . Nevertheless, When I baught the book online it suppose to be coming with the Ancillary Package but I never receive it. I thing they should deliver what they advertise .This package was one of the reason that I decided to buy the book .

Excellent info, tone too chatty
This book has great information for the person who has been tasked with creating an Information Security Awareness program at a business which has never previously had one. Good tips on developing Info Security policies, and getting management backing for the policies and awareness program. It would be a great tool for someone wanting to learn how to assess the corporate culture of a new job, if you're not a people person. The only quibble I have is the tone is way too chatty and informal, which gets annoying at times. But well worth the read!

A good comprehensive approach to your Resumption Plan
This is a very comprehensive overview of the entire Business Resumtion planning process. It gives enough detail for you to get started and walk you through the entire process. It is very consistent with other research I have done on the internet in regards to Business Resumption. The book takes you through Business Operations Recovery, Data Center Recovery, and Voice and Data Communications Recovery. I have so far focused on the Business Operations Recovery, but I am sure that the other sections are just as comprehensive. Certainly the best overall resource for Business Resumption that I have found to date. This will be my "go to" manual during this entire planning process.

clever, funny and deep love
the author of this book of poems uses formal poetic measures to describe his physical and emotional landscape -- a farm, women, a baby boy. I was moved by many of the poems, they are funny, at times clever, and some of them are deep. For instance, I could only read one poem at a time. sometimes I just read one poem a day, and let it sit with me. The poems made me think, and that's a good thing.

Very Cool Role Playing game
This is the first RPG(Role Playing Game) that I have seen for Cadillacs @ Dinosaurs. It is well written and well illustrated with art from Mark Schultz. This RPG is an in depth look at the people like "Jack Tenrec", Animals like the "Shivat"(Tyrannosaurus Rex), and the lands that this story was created on. Also there are pages that have maps and character data sheets that can be copied. Soon I should have my own game set up. I would recommend it to anyone who really likes RPG, Dinosaurs, cars, and just about anything else in this great book.

A little Philosophical but good info and inspiration
I was both delighted and disturbed while reading The California Landscape Garden, by Mark Francis and Andreas Reinmann. The idea that there should be a distinctive "California Garden" has always inspired the gardener to great heights of creativity. There are those who, I am sure, claim to have developed this garden. However, the authors are correct in their observation that "A huge and increasingly pluralistic middle class has put its own stamp on the vernacular landscape, opting for a plethora of individualized styles in hours and garden. Far from displaying the conformity of , say, a Cape Cod community with its distinctive architectural look, today California's developed environment is marked by an often runaway eclecticism. Such a lack of a style has in fact become the style in and of itself. " page 23 The California garden may always be driven by this diversity. I was a bit disturbed by the heavy politically correct tone of the book. I guess it is necessary to display where they are coming from. But it does turn this book from being a useful manual on creating this new type of California garden into a book that is more opposed to the garden dominator style that they feel is predominant. I am a gardener who is open to learn and don't have to oppose something to accept a better idea. My own prejudices aside, (i.e.I believe that God has created Nature rather than nature creating a myth, and I do not feel that we are running out of wild places in this land) I enjoyed the ideas of this book. I have been increasingly amazed at how much God's gardens can teach us. As I drive through the Santa Cruz Mountains on my way to defile the beach with the Human Footprint, I can't help but marvel at the beauty of the tall healthy trees, the rich green undergrowth , the use of ferns on steep, wet slopes etc... There are no sprinkler systems, pest control applications, statues nor other useful garden features, and yet even with the decaying tree trunks, the leaning trees, the unpruned dead branches...there is more beauty than I could ever hope to approach in my contrived gardens. This book give some good ideas as to how you can incorporate God's natural techniques in our gardens. There are many good examples of how some of the new breed of California architect have made environmentally sound gardens that are almost like paintings. I still feel, however, that no matter how much we succeed in our attempts to imitate natural gardens, we are still creating artificial landscapes. We are still the same as one who plants a lawn, some foundation shrubs and a rosebush for color, we are just doing it differently. So, if you get past the political correctness, the reverence for anything the indigenous peoples did, the scare tactics and the snootiness, there is much to be learned from the book. It has affected the way I garden, and I think that that is what they set out to do. Philosophical johnbas@garlic.com
