Overlord (The Way of the Tiger, No 4)

Way of the Tiger: Overlord
I used to own the way of the tiger set as a young adult, but along with being a military brat comes alot of moving around. Recently I found and purchased the book set and can't put them down. I love the books and especially overlord book because you not only edit your character, but are also ruling the city so you have to keep track of advisors and their abilities. The change in roles from a champion of Kwon to ruler of a city keeps the story flowing in a positive direction and gives you alot more to look forward to.

Choose Your Own Advisors
The "Way of the Tiger" series really inspired me as a child. It was very well written and illustrated. Book 4, Overlord actually gives the reader the role of king, and you must decide how your city should be ruled. You have to choose which advisors are worthy enough to serve on your council, as well as how to maintain law and order. These decisions affect the rest of the book. Very detailed world, with memorable characters. Surprising for young adult 'choose-your-own-adventure'-type books!

Pain & Other Petty Plots to Keep You in Stitches

Outrageous, irreverent fun!
PAIN AND OTHER PETTY PLOTS TO KEP YOU IN STITCHES is an amazing, visually delicious book. The authors and artist have created a wildly eccentric universe where bizarre is normal. Only with creativity freewheeling at its fastest could these images and stories emerge.

An Unforgettable Journey
In Pain and Other Petty Plots, Alan Clark has created a masterpiece of biological and psychological dysfunction that will leave the reader's relationships with hospitals forever scarred. Through a stunning array of paintings and stories, some written by collaborators, Clark guides the reader on an unforgettable journey through his sly and cruel mythos about a medical facility staff in the service of pain. Surrealistic torment and human folly serve as the foundation for a unique vision that disturbs while it amuses, and ultimately serves as a warning on the limitless possibilities for self-destruction in all of us.

Perfect company for those long waits in doctor's offices or hospital clinics. A must for ER visits.

FASCINATING!
beautiful, compelling...a great study of one of the most interesting rebel artists of our time. everyone should know who howard finster is!

Paradise in a different sense
Fans of the odd and eccentric will find Howard Finster's Paradise Garden fascinating and entertaining. The quality and selection of photographs of the garden is fantastic, and Finster's statments regarding the vision behind his creation are intriguing. This book is definitely worth examining for its unusual scope and content.

a reveiw on a book
I love this book! I have been to so many places mentioned in this book. Also I know some people in some of the photos and they are great people.

The best book on parking for designers.
There is a lot more in Parking Spaces than you might think. It covers all the technical stuff, but is also full of ideas for making parking a better part of the city. I think that any serious firm should have this book.

A Parody of Myself
Published in Paperback by Infinity Publishing.com (06 January, 2003)
Author: Mark C. Bradley
Amazon base price: $10.95
Average review score:

A Great Read
A wonderfully comforting collection of emotions and metaphors. Highly recommended.

A parody of himself or all of us?
There isn't much about this book that doesn't speak for itself. Though told in verse form, it is a story. A story of life, death, love, fear, wonder, and occasionally, just plain silliness. Through it, you start to get a picture of the writer: a deep, quiet, but quirky young man with an extraordinary talent. He takes you by the hand and invites you to step inside his world, one poem at a time, one word at a time, as he parodizes himself, and, through himself, every person who has ever looked at the moon and thought of someone they love.

The Penguin Book of Gay Short Stories
Published in Paperback by Penguin Books Ltd (27 January, 1994)
Authors: David Leavitt and Mark Mitchell
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

A great resource!
This is an excellent collection of gay short fiction, many from the pre-Stonewall period of obscurity. With the current explosion of GLTB literature, a sequel is in order:)

39 Inteligent pieces of litrature - source of pride!
The anthology is an excellent book. The stories were not written exclusively by gay authors, and surprises are waiting for the readers (e.g. Noel Coward's beautiful story). The 39 stories are offered by well-known authors (e.g. Forster, Isherwood), known young authors (Leavitt, Kramer) and by those less known. In so introducing new and promising authors to the readers, Leavitt and Mitchell prove yet again that the distinguished house of Penguin made the right choice in selecting them as editors. RUN TO BUY!

The best of several available
We bought several review resources. Peterson's was the best. It offers extensive guidance about preparing for the test and had lots of hints for success in taking it.

Its practice questions were right on in level of difficulty. Questions in other resources were too easy or too hard. Several only provided limited practice questions.

Our daughter scored in the 99th percentile. While we think she would have done well anyway, the Peterson materials boosted her score a good deal, we are convinced.

A GREAT BOOK TO HELP YOU ACE THE TESTS!!
I think this book is a great way to prepare for the SSAT and ISEE. It provides lots of great information on the test and it gives you tips on how you can do better on the test. I had to take the SSAT and I don't know how I would've done so good if I hadn't read this book. You should check it out!! It's really worth it!!
