Cardboard Castles, the best book I've read yet.
Out of all the books I have read, I feel that this is one of those books that can not be overlooked. I would never have run across this book normally, and now I feel that it is, by far, one of the most cleverly written, and philisophical books I have ever read. It is a book of 127 chapters, and aproxamately 250 pages. It makes for an interesting read. And I feel it is one that is the best for those with short attention span. It deals mainly with life, death, and love. Contained there in are all the comments that you always thought about saying, but never did, with the twist of the Minnesota WICHFA. It is a twisting between Vonnegut and Hugo, with real-life humor. Knowing the author personally, it is a master work of mind challenging humor. So,If you like a little subtle, obscure humor about the trials and tribulations, this is the book for you.

Super Resource
I am writing to express my appreciation for the CareerXroads resource. Having been an web recruiter, and internet strategy specialist in some large global firms as well as some small organizations, I think the internet is a solid and cost-effective tool for any size organization to access infinite databases of knowledge and contacts. If you know how to use it most effectively, then it becomes an inexpensive tool to utilize in hiring for the organization. This book ( especially the impressive '98 update) provides the perfect amount of information for beginner to intermediate level to understand various options in recruiting and advertising to tap into this immense tool. In the area of readability, it is well put-together and the language is clear for those who may not be net savvy, yet does not talk down to those who are achieving new levels of mastery in internet recruiting methods. Grab a copy of this book. It's totally worth the price.

Fred and Ginger, I remember you
This book is the screenplay for Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire's final Irving Berlin film musical. The premise is that Ginger Rogers is engaged to Ralph Bellamy but she keeps postponing the marriage. Mr Bellamy sends her to his good friend, Fred Astaire, who happens to be a psychiatrist. True to screwball comedies of the time, M's Rogers falls madly in love with Mr Astaire. Mr Astaire plants a post hypnotic suggestion so M's Rogers will hate him and lover her fiance, Mr Bellamy. But, of course, Mr Astaire has fallen for M's Rogers and wants to reverse the suggestion.
Besides the complete screenplay, there are also many black and white photographs of the film. This is quite a good book for any Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers fans and I recommend it highly.

A Rich Collection of Essays
This collection of writings by some renowned psychotherapists, including Jean Houston and James Hillman, integrates the spiritual, creative, and psychological aspects of psychotherapy in the tradition of C.G. Jung. The authors skillfully draw upon the perennial spiritual traditions, as well as creative arts, mythology, and mysticism and integrate them with intelligence and grace into a psychology of the soul.

Author: Angela Elwell Hunt
Amazon base price: $27.96
Average review score:

Fast paced suspense with important character lessons
The Nicki Holland Mysteries by Angela E. Hunt are a powerful blend of suspense and character lessons. Hard to put down, yet easy to read, these books are excellent for the most reluctant young reader. Even the advanced reader will find it difficult to put these stories down until finished. The mixture of mystery and moral issues combine to make these books not only entertaining but also thought provoking where traditional values are concerned. Well done, Ms. Hunt

Delivers an insightful view of the mental side of sports!
The case studies provide an excellent flavor of the mental side of sports for all you "armchair" athletes and sports psychologists to savor. As a psychologist and self-proclaimed athlete, I was entertained and enlightened by the multitude of case studies that Thompson and Vernacchia chose to explore. I found myself relating my own sports-related challenges to those offered in the book. The funnest part was formulating my own hypotheses about the various issues that were presented in each case. This is a must read for anyone who has been frustrated by the challenges of competitive athletics. You're not alone! However, you might find that you're #1 competitor resides in the barriers that you have built in your own mind. Learn how to knock down, or atleast, get around those self-imposed barriers.

A Perfect Casebook???
If one is looking for a comprehensive, intelligible and coherent overview of the area of Employment Law then look no further.

The editors logically lay out the material beginning with the attempts to hire and be hired, the employment relationship and problems therein, the termination of the employment relationship and the consequences therefrom, and the effects of the termination of employment on future employment.

The editors provide insightful cases that were logically edited as well as useful notes and background cases. All in all, a great caseback.
