The Truth Behind Huck
The Adventures of Huck Finn is an outstanding work of classic literature. It's a must read, especially since schools all over have been banning it from their literary lists. The story focuses on a young boy who learns lessons about life and himself while helping a run away slave. There is much contraversey over the relationship between Huck and the man he is trying to save. Why not read the book and form your own opinion as to what is really going on.

This Book was alright.
This book is a humorous and enjoyable book. I liked the way the author made Tom a little rebel. Tom also did whatever he wanted when he wanted. He made his Aunt Polly disipointed in him all the time. He never really told the whole truth to anyone, about anything. If someone asked him a question, he would tell only some of the truth or stretch the answer a little bit. Tom and Huck made a good combo. They had the same intrests and were daring in everything that they did. I liked the book I would have to say that it is a must read on everyones list. The author is awsome and made the book fun and enjoyable to read. I can't wait to read another Mark Twain book.

African Art, a true collectors edition.
One of the most complete general works on African Art and well worth purchasing for detailed information on the variation in art form, tribe, country and art style in Africa. Almost full tribal location information and regionalised art details makes this book a must for the serious collector and student on the subject. From early Egyptian to more recent times, it is a book you have to read several times to understand that no one can ever know the true depth and complexity within the African Art world. A good all round reference book on a much missunderstood and underated art form.

Must-have for any African Studies scholar
This is a fabulous book. It is invaluable to anyone studying African women, or Africa in general. Although scholarly and well-researched, it is also engrossing--not at all a dry or hard-to-get-through textbook.

A work of economic history
This book helps one to understand what your Ag Labs were going through during this period. The "Norfolk Four Course" crop rotation and the enclosure movement are given prominence in explaining how Britain broke out of the Malthusian trap.

Kids learn math in a magical land.
Alice in Numberland is a painless way to get your kids learning math. If they know Alice from her other books, they'll especially like it. Generally, Alice here is concerned more with logic than mathematics per se, which makes this book a good introduction to the field, by teaching logical thinking. The riddles seem to be at a good level for kids, not too difficult, but challenging. I'm not sure I like the illustrations or the writing very much, but overall it's not bad, and a nice effort. If you're looking for a good book of riddles, to keep your kids busy on those long car rides, this might be the one.

A good starting point to learn about allergies
If you need basic information on all types of allergies, I recommend this book. It provides a broad range of specific allergies and is user-friendly. Topics include: hay fever, food allergies, asthma and treatment options for all allergies. Johns Hopkins is a leading research hospital in this field. There are good graphics and bullet points to zoom in on specific areas. If you want detailed info on asthma or food allergies, this book is not for you. It only covers the basics. It also includes pointers on finding a good allergist and support groups.

In this book, many southern dialects are used, and although it may be difficult to read at times, the overall effect created by it makes the story more lifelike. Being pre-Civil War, some of the language is outdated, and it may be difficult to read over some of the terms and ideas used and expressed, but the only reason for their use is to show Mark Twain's overall motive of the book that proves the negative effects of slavery in the United States.
If you liked The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, you'll love this book, because of their similarities in background, and the fact that they share the same main characters. Both books are Twain's masterpieces, and should both be read by all generations, young, old, and still to come.
