A Timeline of Live Beatle Magic
I brought this book and read it from cover to cover a number of years back and I continually pick it up to check the facts. The book has a wealth of information about the live performances of the Beatles from 1957 to the last live performance on the 29th August 1966 at The Candlestick Park San Francisco. It details what songs were played and who sang the lead vocal. A breif history of the period under review. Remember Beatlemaina in Adelaide back in 1964 where more than 300,000 fans lined the streets to see their heros. Its all descibed here. This is a must have book and despite being able to have some of this book reproduced in Mark Lewisohn's The Complete Beatles Chronicles, you still need this book. Its worth the search for it.

Wonderful
I gave this book to my brother when he moved to London, and he later said it was addictive to have around and use to visit where the Beatles did what they did. I visited him since then, and used the book myself to visit scenes from the movie HELP and A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, go to Chiswick House to see where The Beatles filmed the "Paperback Writer" and "Rain" videos, and go to many other Beatles London sites. This is a must-have book for anyone who is a Beatles fan and is going to visit London. Or for anyone who wants to be an armchair explorer of their old haunts. It's entertaining reading even if you'll never go to London.

The most sensual and aesthetically pleasing garden book ever
Many garden books I use for reference. The Beckoning Path is a total aesthetic experience. The photography is some of the most stunning I have ever seen, incredible compositions of form and texture and color. When I open the book I enter into Ted Nierenberg's forest garden: I can smell the damp moss, hear the water coursing over rocks, feel the stillness of fallen snow. I have given away five copies of this book to gardening friends. I would give many more if I could find more copies, but it is now out of print. The garden, and the photographs of the garden, are poems written in leaves and water and bark.

Very Helpful for Teaching
The leader's guide for the Becoming A Contagious Christian course is an indispensable tool for the teacher. It is the best leader's guide that I have ever seen. Every minute is accounted for. Every activity is carefully designed and laid out. You even get to see exactly what the participants see in their books. it is so thorough and extensive. Don't try to teach the course without it.

Contains much that BLACKS don't want WHITES to know
Excellent book about what is happening in college today, especially in the HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities).

Most Whites in America never experience what Harry Browne--the lead character in this novel--sees and goes through at an HBCU.

Whites naively think the best of Blacks. This book offers a warts and all view of Blacks in action on their own turf. It's not the lovely integrationist picture that Whites want to believe is happening across the U.S.

Nor do most Whites ever become targets of reverse racism and other kinds of discrimination that Harry, the novel's narrator, becomes the focus of.

Turns out multiculturalism isn't inclusive. It's a cover for Black self-promotion.

Great book. A true story that should be read by everyone who cares about education and race relations in America today.

Excellent book to use to come up to speed
A number of books out there look at Visual Basic for Applications, but this is the only one so far that focuses on the newest version of Access. I found this book to be invaluable in cutting through the clutter and getting me straight to the practical applications of VBA. The authors take you through basic programming tenants but don't dwell on them. Rather they jump into examples that are very interactive and instructive. Their examples are clear and are good starting points to expand from on your own. It is not an exhaustive reference, but you benefit from it more if you have some decent Access experience. If you don't know a database, you are not going to learn here. But in just a few weeks after reading this book, I find myself going again and again into the examples as starting points for my own projects. And it is amazing how a little bit of programming will impress the users.

There are a couple of mistakes in the book that can inhibit your code from running. In addition, the database supplied has dates of 1998 and 99, but the book uses dates in 2001, so you have to adjust your code in order to get results. And unfortunately WROX has shut down its errata area so you can't really get help with these problems. So don't assume if your code doesn't work, it is your fault. This is where the code on the CD can be helpful - if it doesn't run right it's the program, not the programmer.

Overall with a little patience and work, you can get a huge amount of help from this book.

The Beginning of the Gospel Vol 1 &2
Excellent! A well researched and easily read book that includes the latest research and a new approach. The gospel is seen as a Book on Jesus and the first century church. Many confusing aspects in the gospel are interpreted in a way that is believable. For the scholar, the preacher and anyone interested in reading the latest on Mark.
