Those of you who cannot understand chemistry either because the teacher does not know how to teach or you really do not want to listen...THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU. The book is a nice manual for those who cannot comprehend chemistry. It will be like your virtual teacher in print. My only complain about this book is that it is too long. But at least it is comprehensive. And what I like most in this book is it is divided into many sections which made it easier to digest.

Even though over 20 years old, this text remains the standard in the field of SEC. The introductory chapters on retention, band broadening, and resolution not only are a must read but will be returned to many times. The sections on instrumentation, detectors, columns, and data handling are still useful, but are dated. This book could greatly benefit from a second edition, to include updated detection and column methodologies, as well as hyphenated techniques. As such, because it is not a cheap book, it is probably not the ideal textbook. However, academics, industrial practitioners, and anyone who is seeking either basic or advanced SEC info will probably find what they need here. It should also be mentioned that the treatment of solution thermodynamics (i.e., the combined effects of solvent and temperature on dissolution and dilute solution properties) is above average for an SEC text. For a 20+ year old book, the treatment of the subject matter has held up extremely well.

Inexpensively produced with black and white pictures, this book presents Cistercian/Trappist life at St. Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts. Basil Pennington's text is as clear and telling as the photos themselves. This is an excellent way to begin to understand Trappist life. The chapter called "A Greater Solitude" includes insight into how the community deals with death. The simple acceptance and rejoicing that a brother has persevered to the end and a new beginning make a startling and illuminating contrast to the American way of death. I keep this book on my coffee table so that people who don't understand efforts to combine Cistercian spirituality with daily life will have an quick and easy glimpse of the life.

"More Man" is really a great sociological text. It's chocked full of short, funny gay stories. It's very easy to read and I, as a gay man, found it very interesting and illuminating. It is written very clearly, such that str8 and gay readers alike can learn about the culture. One criticism is that the information might be slightly outdated, and that not all aspects of gay life, including S/M, closeted gays, and ordinary gays who don't participate in the club scenes, are neglected. Overall, though, well worth the $ for studying gay culture.

duffy provides a solid and straight-forward depiction of the more prevalent motor speech disorders. the most important function of the text is to provide a solid foundation in differential diagnosis. most of the dysarthrias that present themselves are of the mixed variety and duffy provides the reader the essential tools necessary in recognizing the signs and symptoms. clinical experience needs to provide the rest. the neurological sections were presented from a different perspective than what i had grown accostomed to in my studies, but a different approach was appreciated.

Joseph Sax does an eloquent job of retracing the history of national parks with an emphasis on the differences between what was intended and what has been implemented. He writes not only of how our reserved lands are viewed, but also about how different sectors of the population believe these lands should be used (or not). What is particularly effective are his discourses on the different populations and the feedback effect We have on shaping policy for reserve lands. This is a very interesting book that anyone who considers themselves to be an "advocate" of wilderness or of the idea of the outdoors, would do well to read.

This book i thought was written in a simple format and was meant for children who just understood a vivid image of muhammad ali himself. When I read this book though i couldnt stop since it was written soo simply yet well. Although we've all seen Ali biographys before this book is really speaking in an exciting tone and is very well written for young people. I wouldnt reccommend this book for people who really want to know about the Ali story as this is just a simple book meant for people who only want to know the basics of the Greatest himself, uhammad Ali

I read this book 12 or more years ago, and its stayed with me since. I finally concluded I must reread it to learn if what I saw in it then still holds. I've never before wanted to write a play as much as I did when I read this. Yes, its a pathological realtionship, but a fascinating one. If it were fiction D'd laugh at its improbability, but since its true, I find myself wondering at human need and resourcefulness in fulfilling that need.

The second edition (2001) of this work has become the reference book of choice in our practice for ultrasound imaging of the musculoskeletal system, such that a copy is available at each location where this modality is employed.

My only criticism is that at times one has to work to find the required information, as it is not always brought together systematically in one location but may be found scattered on different pages. We use as a companion book the second edition (2001) of "Clinical Sports Medicine" by Peter Brukner and Karim Khan, which is not an imaging book but provides much useful information in a well-written, systematic fashion.

I pondered for a while before allocating the star rating, as this is really an excellent book. I would prefer at this time to give four and a half stars to this second edition of "Musculoskeletal Ultrasound", reserving the additional half star for a later edition when I hope information will be arranged in more user-friendly and systematic fashion.

Those interested in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging will not want to be without this book.

This book is great for strategy on both the internet, and single-player missions. It also gives performance evaluations for all the units. In fact, it's only shoetcomeing is that it doesn't give information on the characters like Balor or Soulblighter. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to win the game and conquer the internet.
