extremely good edition of these classic works. the violin sonatas include not only the straightforward version of the first print (Jan 1, 1700) but the elaborate ornaments included in later publications "as Corelli plays them" -- a fascinating light on what people actually did with this music. every violinist should play these -- contemporaries called them "the very staff of life."

This is the most complete and accurate book to entail the essence of what Joe Pilates wanted to accomplish with his brand of movememnt and exercise. In addition, I was able to find more of his exercises not utilized by my teachers or training as a pilates instructor. I believe that this will be a welcome addition to any library.

This text was used at a local community college. As a student, I found it an excellent tool for learning Access. Beware that this version is geared for Windows 3.1 and is difficult to use in any Windows version above that. So if you are still in the dark ages, by all means get this text. You won't be disappointed.

This short (171-page) book is published by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and provides an approach to identifying and preventing computer fraud that is consistent with that organization's body of knowledge and practices.

Part I, "Understanding and Identifying Computer Fraud" consists of none chapters that begin with a discussion of the legal issues and factors associated with computer fraud, technical fundamentals that include common threats (intrusions, viruses, fraud schemes and hacking), and specific topics about internet and e-commerce fraud.

Part II covers detecting and preventing computer fraud, with excellent material on how to properly handle evidence and work with law enforcement professionals during the response phase. This section also contains a brief treatment of applications and systems security, and detailed chapters on security auditing and implementing policies.

While this book is not especially comprehensive, it does cover the major topics that need to be taken into consideration if you're involved in corporate fraud management, but are not familiar with the technical basics of computer and internet fraud. It is also an excellent resource for the IT security professional who may be knowledgable of IT security practices, but not well versed in fraud detection and prevention.

I found this book very helpful. It has an easy to read Seminar format which is packed with just the basic facts (not a lot of empty filler like other books). I read it in a very short time and I had a difficult time putting it down. I also have went back to it to skim read different sections. There is a quiz at the back of the book which tests your comprehension. If you complete it with a least 80% correctness and send it to ther author, he will mail you a certificate.

From the motives for cyber attacks to their costs to society as a whole, crime prevention efforts and the future of cybercrime are all covered in this down-to-earth, serious guide. A thoughtful, informed, and informative look at electronic malice and its consequences, Computer Network Security And Cyber Ethics is highly recommended reading. Also strongly recommended is Joseph Kizza's earlier work, Civilizing The Internet: Global Concerns And Efforts Toward Regulation ...

This book is the best written and most coherent CNC text that I have seen. Unlike most other texts, it doesn't oversimplify the concepts of cutter compensation, canned cycles or conversational programming. Truly a 'must have' for those interested in what makes CNC machines tick.
