A Storyteller's Treasure Box
If you are ever called upon to tell a scary story and don't have one ready, pull this book down from the shelf. Not only is it filled with good stories to tell, but it also classifies them according to the appropriate age of the listeners. And in the margins are suggestions for gestures, sounds and so forth.

I used it for my first adventure in public storytelling last Halloween. All the stories were a success.

The theme of this book is the involvment of the audience. That is proving to be, in my experience, a key to good storytelling. I thank Jennifer Justice for starting me off on the right foot.

An excellent way to learn more about storytelling itself.

The Rest of the Best
Along with "Best Ghost Stories of LeFanu",also published by Dover, this completes the set of LeFanu's short stories. Although these stories tend to be a bit longer than masterworks like "Green Tea", they are every bit as worthwhile and are musts for any fan of English-Irish ghost stories. These two volumes comprise multiple collections of LeFanu's work originally published under the titles "Madame Crowl's Ghost" "In A Glass Darkly", "Golden Friars" and several previously uncollected stories. Le Fanu is right behind M.R James and right in front of E.F Benson in the ghost story writing business.

A must have for anyone interested in Native culture. Each rite is carefully described with a sincere reverence and enhanced with beautifully detailed illustrations. I wish that American schools would use this book as a part of their American History curriculum. Highly recomended!

The Giza Death Star
Farrell theorized that the Great Pyramid was a terrible weapon of mass destruction, used by by a technological advanced ancient civilization in the mist of pre-history and sets today on the Giza Plateau disarmed but ready!

Farrell's technical civilization is the 'doner' civilization that provided the foundation of the Egyptian civilization that existed in the Nile Valley some 5,000 years ago.

What kind of civilization would have designed and built such an awsome weapon of mass destruction as envisioned by Farrell, and apparently used it with no hesitation against their fellow man? A civilization not unlike those that arose from the foundations and ashes of older extinct civilizations. A civilization subject to all the faults and foibles of human beings, hatred, love jealously and greed. No different than those in existance today and poised to destroy the world.

Farrell speculates, the "Great Pyramid was a phase congugate mirror(magic mirror of legends),and howitzer, utilizing Bohm's 'pilot wave' as a carrier to acelerate electromagnetic and acoustal waves to a target via harmonic interfermetry." Ferrell believes that the chambers and passageways of the Great Pyramid were used as a series of loops to generate and amplyfy these gravito-acoustical waves and direct them to their target.

Farrell finds traces of this ancient science he calls "Paleophysics" in the ancient and obsecure texts of Egypt.

If Ferrell's asumptions are correct, this ancient weapons system was the most powerful weapon ever to exist on Earth. Even today, with our advanced technology, the technology involved in the building of this weapon system can only exist in dreams. This is the grist for the mills of science fiction that dream of the theories of Nikola Tessla, The Montouk Project, the Philadelphia Experiment, and Area 51. These are the technologies our government is allways accused of developing in secret labortories and witholding from the public.

After reading the "Giza Death Star", readers will never be able to look at the Giza Plateau and its mysterious prymids and buildings in the same old way!

After reading the "Giza Death Star", find a copy of Hamlet's Mill and read it with a critical eye.

Sleep well tonight, keeping in mind that a government scientist in a weapons laboratory at an isolated location may be reading these same works!

This enjoyable and easy-reading book is the most comprehensive book on violins I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Must reading for the violin enthusiast and enjoyable for the non-musician alike.

An incredible traditional tale with Caldecott like pictures.
This traditional Native American tale, retold by Josheph Bruchac, a hearalded Native American author and story teller, is a moral story with the theme of living for others and good things come to those who wait. Christine Nyburg Shrader's illustrations are incredible. They capture a true Native American spirit and complement Joseph Bruchac's interpretation perfectley. The book is invaluable in a classroom setting, especialy for younger grades (1-4). The story gives great insight into Native American culture and may clarify some misunderstaindings. It allows children the opportunity to think criticaly as well as teaching them a great lesson. The story should be in every classroom.

GREAT BOOK ... GREAT ILLUSTRATIONS!!
This book is perfect for children. The illustrations are what first drew me in ... and after reading it, I found the book itself wonderful as well. The illustrations are hilarious and will hold a child's attention. I think this is a book that a child would read over and over again just to see the creative pictures of the green goblins and to read about what each of the goblins is wearing ... such as "Thompson trying some tulip underwear ..." It's a great book for kids (and adults). It will bring about many laughs. I highly recommend it!

Excellent for teaching young children about God's love
This book does an excellent job at introducing God's love to young children. It relates a little girl's love for her cat, Joseph, to the love that God has for her. Children will come away with the awareness of God's care for them as well as his unconditional love. The bright pictures will grab your child's attention and draw them into the story. At the end of the book there is a Parent's Guide which gives parent's wonderful ideas about how to share God's love with their child.

A book of miracles
This book will make you say WOW! The experiences written about here are clearly Divine. These are ordinary, unremarkable people, who have something amazing and awe-inspiring happen to them that changes their lives. Some were believers before their life changing event, some not. All were since then. The author knew several of these folks well and interviewed all personally, and lets each tell the stories in their own words. This lends a charming naturalness as you seem to hear each person telling his or her tale.
