So Many Words
I used this book for a class at Ohio State University and I thought it was pretty good. The only bad thing about it was that I had to use a Macintosh computer for it. The chapters in the book are very well organized. The disk that comes with it goes together with the book. It makes you take a pre test then a review and then a test. If you pass the test you can go on to the next chapter. You also have two options to choose from on the disk. One is where you go in order by chapters and the other one lets you choose the chapters that you want. There are also reviews which are helpful and it also tells you how well or bad you did by giving you a letter grade. It is just like an etymology class. It teaches you where medical words came from in the Greek language. You can also re arrange the words to mean other things. Overall it was a pretty useful book.

Great memento, outstanding recipes
This makes a great souvenir for those who have had the great fortune to dine at The Court of Two Sisters. Almost half of the book is history of the restaurant and the area, and the rest is devoted to house recipes-the bread pudding is out of this world! I just wish they had included more recipes. It also has several pictures of the restaurant.

The covers of Middle America's house journal
I have given this book four stars instead of five because it really should have come with a magnifying glass. There are over 3500 covers (in color) from the start of the last century and they are all one and a half inches by two inches, actually they could have been a bit bigger by reducing the generous margins round each cover.

Despite the small size there is plenty to enjoy in this well printed book. All the Rockwell's and Leyendecker's are here and into the forties and fifties you can follow Albert Staele's cover paintings of his spaniel Butch, or the regular winter snow scene covers painted by John Clymer. My favourite is Stevan Dohanos, he seemed to delight in cramming in as much detail as possible offering reader's a reassurance of the familiar and everday. Some publisher should do a book of his Post covers.

I was interested to see the covers of the short lived new look Post from September 61 to June 62, these were created by the famous designer Herb Lubalin but his efforts did not impress Middle America and the cover and inside look returned to the regular style. I always thought they looked great and I would love to have these 37 issues in my Post collection (send me an email if you have them)

From late 1962 the Post covers were almost all photographic, just like any other mass market magazine and the last weekly issue came out on February 8 1969. This book is a visual record of a unique American publication, just have your magnifying glass handy to enjoy the experience.

What's next, a cosmic omelette?
I thought from the title that this book told the story of my less than illustrious birth, but silly me, it's actually a philosophy book. By way of perhaps egging you on to crack this book, I would say it's actually a pretty decent one, and the author discusses the ideas of writers as diverse as Teilhard de Chardin, Paul Tillich, C.G. Jung, Jesus, Carlos Castaneda, and Jean Piaget to show how we may envision a different existence for ourselves and a different future for the human race.

Communicators MUST read
The Elements of Public Speaking is a textbook i used for the course of public speaking this year. Surprisingly, it's not only a textbook, but also an useful book for all communicators. It provides a clear concept to be a successful public speaker - good communication skills, avoid using jargons and comfortable eye contacts, etc. Anyways, it's a MUST-READ guidebook for all public speakers and communicators as well.

Suspenseful thriller
The story line was captivating, making a short book seem even shorter. Just when you thought you had it figured out there was another twist. It would make a great movie.

a heart touching story
Being a beautiful daughter of a wealthy mandarin, My Nuong had always been staying in her great house with the servants and surrounded herself with richness. But, she was very unhappy for she often felt lonely and had no friend to share her feeling with. One day, she heard a lovely piece of music which come from a bamboo flute of a fisherman name Truong Chi from the nearby sea. The music was so mesmerizing that it has capture her heart immidiately. She never felt anything like this and she has began thinking of it as "true love". Although she had never know of the fisherman's face, she has made a promise of giving him her hand in marriage. For some reason, the fisherman did not come to the sea to play the music anymore and this affect My Nuong deeply. She is very upseting and start to misses the music which make her now very ill. Her father try to find doctors who could cure her of this illness but none succeed. When My Nuong told him about the man and the music she had fall in love with, he sent for Truong Chi. But fate had been cruel to them for at the moment she look at him, she was disgust with his ugliness that she hated him. Truong Chi, with the first time saw My Nuong, had fall in love with her too. But My Nuong cast him away and being too heart-broken, Truong Chi died of a silent death. His heart had magically become crystal and unknowingly, My Nuong had carved it into a beautiful cup to use when drinking tea. But somehow, My Nuong heard the same music of Truong chi from the crystal cup and she had cry in regrets and sorrow for the unfortunate fisherman. Her tears roll down into the cup and had broking the seal which set Truong Chi's soul free. Such a loving story and a must-read one that no one could forget but thinking of it always. Love come from heart not appearances just as this story tells us.

How Things can Change!
This is a most enjoyable piece of writing. We in Ireland probably suspect a little tongue in cheek but that makes the tale even more enjoyable. The great thing is that with the subject matter in this novel, it would be so easy to be irreverent, but Joseph Hennessy at no time came even close to that temptation.

The entire mixture of events is so possible that one sometimes has to remember that it is all in good fun and entertainment, but I was almost drawn in some occasions to feel sorry for the poor cleric trying to cope with such new and unforeseen situations.

Thank you Joseph, hope there more where that came from, really enjoyable.

Great Pictures and Lots of information
This book had great action pictures of Cujo. I really liked the tips Cujo gave for younger players to help them to improve their game. I also thought Curtis Joesph's schedule at the end of the book was neat too. Anyone who likes Cujo or the Toronto Maple Leafs should get this book.
