"Rich in allusions to the scholarly context and well annotated, this book is recommended for graduate students." --Choice
"Drawing on an impressive array of recent theoretical writing about sociology, history, and psychoanalysis, and a wide range of hermeneutical technologies, Ash's study of Conrad's psychosical dilemmas attempts to show how Conrad as an individual responds in his writings to the historical processes and socio-psychological crises engendered by industrialism, imperialism, and the political tensions, latent and manifest, of Edwardian society...Ambitious, original and engaging." --English Literature in Transition

Great, in-depth review of the first 4 X-Files seasons!
This book is a great guide for both new X-philes as well as seasoned vets. Great background on all X-Files characters/actors. Excellent episode synopses, which always include comments that help fill in the gaps. This is one of the only books I've seen with a comprehensive review of all 4 previous seasons in one place. I was a new fan to the X-files this season (5th) and this book helped me locate and understand key episodes that I needed to see to understand the "conspiracy" storyline. I can't wait for the book for the 5th season!!

A good self-help resource
Practical experience and basic concept of imaging equipment theory, function and repair. Lots of valuable information on installation, calibration and quality. Could be a good book for an associate degree program in biomedical or clinical technology or for someone already working in the field who would like to migrate into imaging repairs.

This is a great book!
I'm 12 years-old and I thought this story was very exciting. My older brother read it also, and he said it was great. It is about a fifteen-year-old boy who is eager to go to war. However, it ends up being the most horrifying life a young man could have. I would give six stars if I could. Since I can't, I'll write it down: six stars!

The main character, Atrail, is somewhat of a Conan spoof, big burly, 'everything that could go wrong with me' did kind of guy. The rampant clichés drive the characters to distraction until they start questioning their existence. I thought this was a pretty clever part about the book, bringing in the author who is attending one of those AA like meetings for writers.
The interaction between the author and Atrail is great. Atrail really comes off as 3 dimensional character. He actually reminds of the standard Edgar Rice Burroughs character. Unassuming, modest, yet tough and strong guy. The pictures are fantastic.
I completely recommend this book to anyone in need of a little bit of fun.
