If you're like me, and just loved Gates of Horn and Ivory and everybody in it (even the devilish Joshua), you'll be glad to read the continuing story of the Maximilians and the town they built. There's a lot more sadness in this sequel, though, because the years are not kind to the family or the town. But through it all, Vanessa's strength, and then the strength and courage of her daughter Anna, is what makes this story so great. I like happy endings, and this book has a wonderful one!

This guide takes you from the begining of the electrocardiac cycle to the end, and throws you all the curves on the way. An excellant guide for the beginner, as I was when I first used it, and for my practice as an ICU RN. I keep it with me and refer to it often.

This was an excellent book. Full of information and good pictures. We used it while driving accross Colorado on I-70. It tells you about the mountains, their history, and how they got their names. Recommend for anyone interested in history or geology. Really fun and makes the ride go by quick!

Merrit's Guide is a very usuful book for those interested in mammals within the state of Pennsylvania. This book is easy to follow. The descriptions are straight foward and easy to understand. The diagrams and pictures are also very useful. I highly recommend this book.

This book is the first in a series of eight books chronicling the Civil War. The Guns of Bull Run follows the adventures of Harry Kenton, a Southern sympathizer from Kentucky, who travels to South Carolina to volunteer his services to the new Confederacy. He soon finds himself swept up into greater events, being present at the inauguration of Jefferson Davis, the firing on Fort Sumter, and on to the battle of Bull Run.

I'm rather surprised that I have never heard of these books before (written in 1913!). This story is gripping, and succeeded in spiriting me away to a different place and time. The author does a good job of presenting the Southern side in a realistic, non-preachy manner. I really enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it to any one interested in the Civil War.

This book embodies what multicultural counseling is all about, the state of the art. Not only are the most recent empirical findings and directions presented, but we are also treated to the real life narratives of prominent multicultural counselors (in particular I really enjoyed Janet Helms and her sense of humor). In my opinion this is the perfect melding of head and heart/soul and represents both science and art. My gratitude goes out to the 85 people who have put this important work together. This book is a must have.

This is a conscise book that appears to be aimes to students, residents, fellows and any practicing health care provider that deals with critically ill patients. This book is probably the best of its class and can be carried in a white coat. it contains numerous formulas and factsthat are useful for busy practitioners.

As a real estate student I found this book to be a great a reference for me. It is great for a beginner or an expert. If you are at all interested in real estate then I definately recommend this book.
