The book - "The Psychic Realm:What Can You Believe", chapter - "Proofs of Survival After Death", p. 229 & 230, I am the father of the little boy in the yellow Dr. Denton pajamas that Melissa Siebert saw. 10 days after he died, he appeared to me along with my father who had been dead for 14 yrs. at the time. That was the only time I've ever seen spirits, and a series of paranormal events occurred a couple of times per week for the following 9 months which were witnessed simultaneously by my wife. The principles outlined in this book for psychological managment of pain, particularly hypnotherapy, have withstood a test of time. As I stated in the front flap of the book at the time of its publication, this book "..is a deeply intelligent and comprehensive treatment of the subject. It provides insights into the many possible ways acute and chronic pain can be reduced and managed, giving full attention to individual needs and psychological contexts of pain patients." On rereading this book, I would say the same thing today. It remains a masterpeice and one of the best of its kind.

This book does a nice succinct job of surveying many psychological paradigms as they relate to education. There are brief summaries of many developmental, cognitive, and behavioral theorists, and their ideas are presented in an easy to read manner. The book touches on most aspects of psychology that are necessary for the beginning or veteran teacher.

It is a great book. I studied with Dr Fried at San Francisco in 1988 and every comment he made was supported by adecuate and precisely background and many published papers. I may say if Dr. Fried did not mentioned in the book it is because it does not exist or nobody has ever writen abouth it. The book is full of facts, references, advises and a great dry sens of humor. It signals medical mistakes, contradictions in findings reported, circular arguments; and clarifies all the points in relation to breathing, phisiological changes and how they transform in psychological proceses and "mental disease". Yes types of migraine can be cured, high blood pressure, and a lot more. I was at a academic panel at the School of Psychology of the State University to review a training in breathing, yoga, and relaxation for the treatment of anxiety, and I look good by all the references I had on the relation between breathing and anxiety. A great book for any profesional on biofeedback, psychoterapy, medical general practitioner, and Psychiatrists.

I love the book! It's very useful and perfect for my situation as a non-experienced PR student. It would be better though if the author published another edition ready because I'd buy it for sure!

This book will not give you a simple answer for the question above. It will ask you other more, indeed.

In spite of this, it will also show you how you could find the answers... by yourself.

I read this book the first time in junior high school (I found it accidentally), a period in which, you know, we all are full of questions about life, ourselves and so on. It helped me to make many things and thoughts clearer.

From then, I've read it at least five times more: Life always has questions, and you need to know how to answer them.

This book is an outstanding work by Joseph Bruchac (Abenaki) for all theatre professionals as well as K-12 teachers. I strongly recommend that it be part of every school library collection.

Excellent book. Easy to read. Helped my husband and me to have a starting point to discuss our intimacy issues. Also, it gave us hope that we can work through the physical and emotional problems surrounding impotence. I highly recommend this book.

This is a great book with loads of detail. It explains the background and history leading up to some of the bloodiest guerilla raids of the civil war. It explains how various actions of Congress and government officials can lead to the Rule of Unintended Consequences. From the Raiders we get Jesse James, the Daltons, etc. There were decades of actions all which find there genesis in the civil war era raids detailed in this book.
The author sets the stage for the reader in a very straightforward matter. There are biographies of all the riders. Also the location of the beginning of the raid on Lawrence Kansas is revealed.
All civil war buffs should have this book in their collection.
