One of the best marketing books i've read! The authors do bridge the knowing-doing gap. Most books focuse on the strategic plan of marketing or on a specific area or buzzword, forgetting the everyday work. This team managed, with excelence to convey a lot of practical knowledge with solid theoretical foundations, this makes this book a pearl that is accessible to those not having solid foundations, minimizing the risk associated with the implementation of apparently linear concepts. For those more experienced, the cristal clarity of the presentation and some of the long forgotten perpectives will be extremely interesting. In a sentene: fit for both the neofit and the tried and tested. Excelent work - 9 points on a 0 to 10 scale.

I used this book along with a Marketing Research class at Drake University. The text clearly explained the principles of marketing research and provided real-life examples. I highly recommend this book to anyone involved with Marketing.

I have been reading this book over the last several nights and have really enjoyed it. Not a scholar or an historian, I am simply a person who has an unquenchable thirst for stories about this time period. I liked the chronological format of the book, and I was particularly interested in the growing nature of legality over issues like land transfers, inheritance and marriage. If I could meet the authors I would like to ask them about the process they used to research this book, and if they were able to actually look at some of the original documents they report from. The notes and bibliography are fascinating, and when I next have a chance to visit the U of M's library, I will look up some of the titles. I would like to thank the authors for this wonderful book!

i cannot express my review in only a thousand word

The whole problem of which national groups were to remain a part of the new Soviet Union and which should form independent nations was a major question following the 1917 Soviet revolution.

As the Communist Party's expert on national questions, Joseph Stalin had dealt with the "national problem" since before the revolution. After the revolution he became Commissar for the Nationalities in the early years of the Soviet Union.

This particular book is a collection of speeches and articles all dealing with Finland, Poland, Ukrainia, Georgia and many of the other national groups that had made up the old Russian Empire. Stalin argued that Ploand and Finland shoul be make their own way as independent nations which Ukrainia and Georgia were such a integral part of the economic unit which would become the Soviet Union that they should be made Republics within the Soviet Union.

This book has gained in importance in the present day as many of the republics of the old Soviet Union have broken away to form independent nations.

This ecumenical effort to study the basics about Mary in the NT was undertaken in the mid-70's and is still the standard almost thirty years later. A truly exhaustive, balanced, and informative work that keeps its focus on Scriptural interpretation and probabilities...seeing a number of sides of the sectarian coin on Mary but always opting for the most plausible interpretation, based upon the flat-out *science* of understanding Scripture. Excellent. The best part is the extra chapter on Mary in the 2nd century Christian experience, following-up on what the post-Apostolic churches garnered from the original records and traditions. An absolute MUST for any student or Christian scholar's library.

This is the play that was used in the 1987 (?) movie, "Anne of Avonlea." It's really neat!

As a young man in the process of converting to Catholicism, I found "Mary: God's Yes to Man" to be a very compelling, deep, and driving study of the role of the Blessed Virgin in History, in Tradition, in the Church, and in the lives of the modern believer. I went into this book with very little knowledge of who the Church says the Virgin Mary is, and coming out of it, I feel like I could comfortably explain the doctrine to anyone. The use of Biblical exegesis, and the style of Biblical interpretation was quite interesting for this former Protestant Evangelical. The Holy Father is an excellent writer, and both Cardinal Ratzinger and von Balthasar offer interesting commentary on his writings. A good read, seeing as it took me less than 36 hours to do so.
