It is EASY to implement it !!!!
This book challenged me to start my own business. It was written in simple language and it's not a theory book; so it was very easy to understand and to implement it. You don't have to be a college student to read this book. This book also gave a lot of great examples and great supporting materials. And Mr Grappo himself is willing to answer your questions too. Good job, Mr Grappo.

The most direct road map to entrepreneurial success.
Gary Grappo has provided a clear and direct road map to entrepreneurial success. Step by step instructions, guides, and techniques are detailed. As a direct result of his methodologies, the move from corporate America to entrepreneurial life has been an absolute delight. For every "would-be" entrepreneur, this book is an absolute must!

5 stars is not enough!
This is by far the best addition to Gary's entire line of books. Not only has he told you how to get a job in the past but now he tells you step by syep how to start your own job, be your own boss, and own your own business!

If you have read the other books and followed his instructions then you know that his latest addition is nothing to fear!

A well researched history of my ancestry.
First I would like to thank Amazon for making this fine book so easy to obtain. There are countless thousands of descendants of these, strong, courageous people that now live throughout the world. my son among them, being on a temporary assigment in Turkey. Many thousands more know little of the history of our people. This book should have a particular appeal to these folk. Perhaps by the reading of Mr. Howards book some will be induced to further study and research. It is a benifit to all that seek the true history of our country. These folk were a monolithic type, what happened to one could be an indicator of what happened to the society in the whole. My families have ties to several of those mentioned in this book. As an example, my grandfather was the first cousin to the wife of Louis Riel. My great grandmother was the god child of, Marie Anne Gaboury, the first white woman in the northwest. My fathers mother was baptized by, Father Lestanc. These people are mentioned in this well written book. Thank you, Melvin Beaudry Lynnwood, Washington.

Forgotten Hero
The amazing story of the Metis people whose French ancestors first colonized and controlled most of North America. Louis Riel should have been a National Hero for all Canadians since without him most of the land west of Ontario would have fallen in US hands.

This book is riveting and should be required reading for history majors.

Haunting saga of a forgotten revolt by a dispossessed people
A century ago, North America almost had a fourth nation, Assiniboia. That would-be nation's leader, a poet, religious zealot and one-time schoolteacher named Louis Riel, once was considered a traitor ro Canada but now is being revered and "rehabilitated" as one of the founders of the Dominion of Canada. Riel was "drafted" as leader of the Metis, "mixed blood" children of the fur trade, when Canada was reneging on its promises to these people who carried on the cultures of both European and indigenous ancentry. (Today, Celtic and French folklorists visit Metis in Western Canada and Montana to record unblemished versions of tradition folk music long dead in their original mother countries.) Howard, a legend in Montana journalism and history himself, penned his masterpiece in "Strange Empire." He gets down to the basics of the struggle for Western North America and some of the more haunting passages deal with the pyschlogical effects of such white man's diseases as smallpox and alchohol and their role in subjugating the natives a century or so ago. Riel was hanged for his insurgence, but had he been more decisive in battle, the maps -- and language patterns -- of much of North America would be much different.

A Must Have Reference
Dr. Horrigan and "Doc" Kreis have done a great job with this book. It contains an abundance of information that anyone interested in enhancing sport performance will benefit from reviewing and reading. This text has enough "meat" in it that the strength training professional will benefit by having it on their reference list and the teaching approach is clear and so well illustrated so the athlete can use the materials also.

Excellent for getting started.
I just started playing hockey two years ago and was looking for a book to help me become a better player. This book is very detailed and easy to use for a beginner such as me. I have seen immediate results in my strength and conditioning since buying this book.

STANDS IN A CLASS BY ITSELF
This is one of the finest and most comprehensive books ever written on sports conditioning. It is not only for the hockey player, but for all athletes in all sports looking to gain an edge. It gives great detail and clarity on ways to improve speed, strength, and overall conditioning. This book will make the average coach look like a genius.

Awaiting more from Freda
Freda gets to the very heart of suburbia with well-written quirky characters everyone can relate to. I may be from Florida, but I can definitely relate to what happened up in New Hampshire... over-development threatens everyone. I'm wondering where the sequel is, or at least another novel from the author. Note to Freda: Make your next book longer- I hated to come to the end of "Suburban Guerillas"!

Irreverent look at coping with life in suburbia...
While the setting is a suburban town in New Hampshire, the issues of fidelity, parenthood, identity, marriage, aging, and finding one's place in this world are germain to our every day existence; to be a suburban guerilla is to challenge the rolling pastures and strip malls of our psyche as much as those of our towns

The underlying complexity of suburbia, richly revealed.
Hurly is a small New England town, populated by small lives. But wait, there's more to life than mowed lawns, summer sun- sets, and ice cream. Just when you begin to see your own life as planned, predictable, and very common, like those in Hurly, Joe Freda and his gang of characters will teach you to peek beneath the rock to find the courageous, passionate, foolish, frustrated and loving nature that must be suburban life across America today. There's something for everyone to identify with, laugh at, and cheer for in this book. And happily, the characters of both sexes are drawn with a clear eye, simple lines, and surprising detail. Suburban Guerillas will sneak up on you and grab a piece of your heart. Read it. Keep it. Save it for your kids, because this is a snapshot of the life so many imagine and really do live today.

Incredible - It'll change you forever.
I had never before understood the true hardships that the early Saints had gone through, as well as the ramifications that their faith has on me, as a Saint today. I am free to worship as I please because of their sacrifice - a sacrifice I did not understand until I read this book in the series.

Best of the series!!
This is by far the most emotional volume out of the series. It takes you into the persecutions of the Saints and does not let you forget the pain and suffering they endured. It is also an emotional time for the fictional family, which still brings me to tears when I read it. I love this series!! I highly recommend it!!!

Painful to read
This book takes you though the short and painful period of time the Mormons spent in Missouri, including the massacre at Hauns Mill, Liberty Jail, and the infamous extermination order issued by the governor of Missouri. Mr. Lund writes these events through the eyes of both the victims and the people causing the suffering. Terrific documentation of actual events also. Highly recommended!

Tomb for Boris Davidovich

wonderful, jet disturbing
I have enjoyed this (and all other Danilo Kis's books) immensly.

One of the 20th Century's Best
This book of Kis' is a masterful work. The author said they are short stories but the publisher pushed it as a novel and in a way it is something between the two. The stories are seperate and there is not one main plot but a common theme runs through the work and occasionally characters from one story will reoccur or turn up in another story. They are connected though it seems in the sort of way as when someone might say it is a small world that we live in.
In his native land this book caused an uproar as the stories pass themselves off as fact but in Kis' style fact and fiction, history and imagination blend for a common aesthetic goal. This he picked up from Borges and his use of "document" in fiction.
All this helps the book stand out as a superior work of literature without even getting to the political theme of revolution and the role of individuals in mass movements.
This edition is perfect with the intro by Brodsky and William T. Vollmann's afterword.
A must read for anyone.

So Sad, So True
Beautifully written, surprisingly nonchalant portrayal of the actual driving force behind the Russian Communist Revolution, namely an international gang of charismatic professional criminals. Makes you think twice before you empathise with all the victims of Stalin's camps indiscriminantly - some of them obviously deserved their terrible fate.

Are you afraid of the truth?
The Triumphs of Joseph is simply one of the most important books to be written since the Civil Rights Movement. I teach diversity classes and I use Triumphs as a primary text to offset the constant presentation by black leaders (often self-proclaimed) and the media that African Americans are somehow deficient in ordinary resilience and social strategies and need the paternalistic help of governmental and private agencies. Why do so many people who are not disadvantaged feel free to define for the disadvantaged what their needs, wants, and goals are? Dr. Woodson is sure to offend those who are the vicarious victims and parasitic victimizers of the poor but the validity of his message cannot be denied. Coming from a disadvantaged background myself, I have lived some of the situations he describes yet today I hold a doctorate and teach at the college level. Dr. Woodson is definitely a winner with a winning plan. If you want to be a winner, stick with the winners.

Inspiring, passionate, and truthful!
This is one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. The further I read into it the more I was moved by the narrative, and the stories.

The book has very few statistics and is not heavy in technical detail. But whatever its perceived fault could be, it pales in comparison with the passion, power and truthfulness of its message.

Learn about the small, scattered and underresourced groups of men and women that are transforming the inner cities of America and the implication that this has for the social renewal of all of our socieity.

This book is inspiring, practical, and immensely moving. I believe it should be read by every person in United States who has even a bit of honesty to face what is wrong with our communities, even a little strength to care for others, and a desire to have their eyes opened to the powerful solutions that are avaialble in very humble qarters!

Black America, read this now!
Every black person in the United States ought to devote an evening or two to reading this book. It shows in a concise 100-plus pages that "Black History" includes the triumphs of self-sufficiency which were considered ordinary before the Civil Rights movement taught the race that "progress" meant handouts and lowered standards of evaluation. The inner cities are slowly rising out of the ashes, not through government charity but through residents working the system to change their own destinies, making their peace with an unfair past. No book says this better. Everyone -- buy this book and regain your hope.

Incredible pictures, written well making it easy to read and understand. Palka makes you feel like you've been in Denali, even if you haven't. Outstanding book!

Northern Exposure
Having been to Alaska I am aware of the landscape and its unigue place in our worldly environment. This presentation truly touches the key elements of the Alaskan adventure and its place in the travelers journal. I was truly impressed by the pictures and the ability of the author to portraite the imense landscape and the importance of the countryside in his work

Makes me want to visit Denali.
The writer manages to combine the human interest and interaction while, at the same time, uses his experience in Denali as a teaching instrument. Makes me want to visit Alaska and Danali!

Excellent Book
I am 21 years old, and still remember being handed this book before going to the hospital when I was quite young. I remember feeling more comfortable with all of the things I would see, and feeling safer knowing that Grover did not have a scary time :) I would absolutely recommend this book to parents of children who will be having a hospital stay.

Terrific resource
My son has had numerous surgeries, from open-heart surgery to the placement of ear tubes. This book was recommended to us by the Child Development Department at Boston Children's Hospital several years ago and it has become part of our pre-op routine. Prior to each surgery, we read this book over, and over, and over again! It is a terrific book for the toddler: the words are simple, the characters are very recognizable from Sesame Street, and Grover has a good experience. Our son takes the book, his Fisher Price medical kit, and Tickle Me Elmo whenever he goes into the hospital. Obviously, we highly recommend this book, regardless of the type of surgical experience.

Excellent!
I sent this book to my 4 yr old niece just before she went to have her tonsils removed. It really helped her without scaring her. She even brought it to the hospital so her parents could read it to her again! Perfect for this age group!

Superbly written, easy to understand
This is an outstanding book despite being over 10 years old. The clarity of the text and examples is far superior to the average text. One of the few books I have been able to easily learn new material from without having the benefit of a class to attend.

Nuts and Bolts on Water Engineering
This was my textbook for Water Resources during Engineering School in the Spring of 1985. I have the Third Edition. It is well worn, underlined, highlighted and annotated, evidence of a very useful book! At my current position as Water Engineer at an Air Force Base, it is at the top of my shelf with my most used refernces. The right mix of theory and application. You will need a basic knowledge of Fluid Mechanics to use this text effectively.

The best WRE book that also keeps up with the times
This book is one of the few books that introduced me to Water Resources Engineering as a student and I am still using it more than twenty years later as a University teacher and a Professional Consultant!

It contains some hydrology, some probability, some engineering economy, and some water resources planning to supplement the material on hydraulic machines and structures, water resources projects such as hydropower, wastewater treatment, irrigation, river engineering/navigation, flood damage mitigation, and water supply. It also has worked examples, exercises, and useful tables.

This book does not overload you with verbosity. It just gives you enough to make a topic sufficiently clear for one to proceed with using the same in real situations.
