I was looking for poetry books to read to a second/third grade classroom and came across this book in the library. After looking at the pictures and reading the poems to the children I relized I have to have one for myself!

I really enjoyed this book. The Cahuilla Indians led a fascinating existence living in the mountains and deserts of Southern California (near Palm Springs). The book describes the way that they adapted to their environment and live in the mountains in the summer and the desert in the winter. This is a very good educational book.

This is a great calculus book, very helpfull for introducing or refreshing all the main calculus topics! It is concise and the author gets right to the point without unnecessary comments, that many other calculus textbooks are filled with. This book is perfect if you want to refresh one or several particular notions.

Mother Earth is smiling on the hard work of retelling the stories of long ago. This is the true teachings of the native americans of central California and the Sierra Mountains. I am sure much is lost because no one took the time to write down what these people had taught for generations. However, this book is a true line to the past and is a must for reading. You can also visit the Mooney Grove Museum to view history of native americans living in the valley and foothills.To understand the future we must except the past, and how these third world peoples were treated at the hands of the new visitors to "Their mother earth".....with book in hand I can still hear the echoes of chantes from long ago, the muffled drums...beating the rhythm of rhapsody into the night.A must book to read!

This book is the standard text for college level real estate course RE101. An excellent book with many walkthru examples to help understand difficult situations. GREAT BOOK!

I found this book easy to read with plenty of bible scripture to back up every point.I noticed that when I finished the book, it didn't say the end. Instead it said the beginning. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

Both adults and children will enjoy this book, Any child interested in a law enforcement carrier should read this book also. The book has black and white photographs throughout the story. Part Two is a programmed text so well thought-out that one cannot help but quickly grasp the material. Part Three is a beginning reader. What Mary Haas did for a generation of students of Thai script, Franklin E. Huffman has matched and perhaps even surpassed for students of the strikingly beautiful Khmer system of writing.

This is a very important book, because is concerned with a contemporaty issue because of the 500 years of american colonization. Since the Handbook of South American Indians,organized by Julian Steward no other enterprise of this kind was made. It is very important to us, american, to know better our indians. From the academic point of view, this book contributes with wide informations congregating researchers and the results of its reflexions together in only one place. It is really good to find in one volume informations about several country. We have in this volume, contrasting views from the theoretical aproach that enrichs, we have, besides of historical perspectives, archeological focus about empires such as the Inka and discussions about colonialism and its damages upon the indigenous people. And neither the indigenous organization is forget in this volume, in this historical moment a surprisengly movement of this massacrated people who is strugling for their rights by their own voices. I would recommend this book to students, to specialists in anthropology and ethnologist and to whom is interested in history of America and in our present days. Last, I would mention the beauty of the volume and of the hardcover.

I like western stories and have read most of the Louis L'Amour books I have come across, as well as most of the Elmore Leonard westerns. The three novellas in this book are easily as good as anything else I've read. The characters are well described and interesting, not the usual cardboard cut-outs found in western novels.

Unfortunately, most of the other Frank Bonham books are currently out of print. I can't wait to see if everything he writes is this good.
