Outcast is a book worth reading. Tantalizing.
This author keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last ! You just can't put the book down once you open to the first page. To know that the story is a true one makes it even more engulfing. TANTALIZING
is the best way to describe it. It's on my Christmas list for my friends !
The easy reading style and the feel that you are
'there,' makes this a # 10 on my list !
It has all the qualities that I look for in a good read.

Premier History of Outer Banks Region
This is the premier history of the Outer Banks area, written by the region's premier historian. It begins in the 16th Century, when European explorers first touched the sandy barrier islands. It carefully traces the course of human and environmental events through the modern era, with special emphasis on the Revolutionary War and Civil War. This is a truly remarkable piece of work that will enlighten anyone interested in Carolina history.

A must have for Begginers to Professional Saxophonists alike
I have been using this book for some time now, and it has helped me time and time again. In a junior highschool jazz band this book is ver helpful. It has some of the most peragotive tenor sax solos i have ever seen. And if your ever in a jam where u need a solo right away and just cant think of one, this book is a life saver. The cd that comes with it is also very helpful. If u dont know the rythm or not a good sight reader the cd will get you one your way. Just play the cd and Play along. In about an hour to a solo, you are set for a surprise performance. A definite must have for all.

Awesome Jazz Solos for Kids who Loooove Jazz
When I got this book, I was expecting to trash it in the first month after using it, like I do with a lot of my saxophone books that become a bore. However, that was not what happened. When I started playing these totally cool solos I just couldn't stop. I mean, they were actually really fun to play. Several months have passed, but I still havent dumped out this book that really made my day when I first bought it. All my friends love this book too(they play the sax like I do), and its becoming quite popular with all of us. Yep... This is a really, really great book. I recommend it to all the other kids that don't have anything good to play.

As told by the servicemen themselves
Over There: The American Experience In World War I by Frank Freidel (Professor of History, Harvard University) presents the sometimes amazing, often horrifying experiences of American soldiers and sailors during World War I, and as told by the servicemen themselves! Extracts from diaries and letters, regimental histories, interviews, and more fill the pages of this detailed and vivid military history. Over There is very highly recommended as an "up-close" look at what it was really like to risk your life in order to "make the world safe for democracy" in the lethal arena of the Great War.

This is the one
I still have my incredibly beloved and beat-up copy from college days at Syracuse University; along with my "Complete Works of Shakespeare" (ed. Bevington)and Lumiansky's translation of "Canterbury Tales," this is one of those books I'll NEVER let go; if I had it with me on a desert island, I wouldn't mind being alone for a few years. It's got everything you could ask for from English lit., with excellent footnotes and introductory materials. A real treasure trove, and a must for anyone who really wants to start digging into the major Western writers -- yeah, those dead white guys; not so popular anymore -- just the ones who hold up the pillars of Western civilization!

An Eye-Opening Survey Of English-Language Humor
An astonishing tour of 400 years of laughs from the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. Not just the greats like Wodehouse, Twain, and Garrison Keillor but brilliant (but now forgotten) writers, plus cult favorites like Auberon Waugh, Stella Gibbons and P.J. O'Rourke. Highly recommended.

A wonderful insite to the mind
I'm a HUGE fan of Baum.Always have been. Ever since I was a kid. Reading Baum in published order is an ever ongoing project with me. Now I'm not one who wants to take apart the wonderful stories and put all the elements into little boxes and find out what they are make of, but this book does something that is just the opposite. It takes the stories and looks at them in the order in which they were written! This book is a wonderful look at the "periods" in the Baum Canon. This is a great look at how say something like the Life and Adventures of Santa Clause and Queen XiXi of IX relate to each other. Great writing and research makes this book a MUST for any Baum collector.

lots of Ozzy fun!
These books are wonderful Ozzy fun. I look forward to their publication each year. Each volume has a collection of stories about Oz. Some are in traditional form, others are comic-book style. All are illustrated. Each issue usually contains some newly written stories as well as republished ones that were written by one of the original Oz authors like L. Frank Baum or Ruth Plumly Thompson and have been unavailable for many years. Frequently the stories are illustrated by the original illustrators like Denslow or Neill. If you are an Oz fan, you have got to buy Oz-story 2!
