Some books are so full of ideas and some sentences say more than volumes. This book fits both accounts. This "Reader in Quotations" contains hundreds of illuminating ideas about the mind and its properties of malleability. The mind can be formed and fashioned into whatever we can imagine, and unfortunately, many unenlightened people are aware of this idea too, and force the mind into all sorts of contortions. It took me quite awhile to finish this book because the ideas caused so much personal reflection and inner development that I had to write hundreds of pages of things I was learning from its pages. I feel confident to say that just one page of this book, thoughtfully pondered, could cause a change in one's life. Change comes from new ideas that leave us larger than we were before they visited us. This is the kind of book the thoughtful reader has been waiting to get a hold of.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in either antiquity in general or a specific interest in espionage and intelligence work. It is clearly written, and while it possesses a depth that specialists in the fields would appreciate, it is still accessible by a general reader, particularly those with a taste for military history. Another thing to appreciate is the layout--footnotes along the bottom allow the reader to see fully the breadth of source material used without having to constantly thumb back to annoying endnotes. A great effort and well worth a read.

This is an excellent book with side by side English and Spanish. It does a very good job of explaining parts of speech, especially verbs. Irregular verbs are explained fully in both languages. I am currently am teaching an ESL class and one of my students owns this book. If it were not on the waiting list, I would buy one for every student.

This is a fantastic book on the art of consulting. As a previous partner of McKinsey, I took a lot away from this book that took me 20 years to learn previously. I highly recommend this book to every level consultant, doing any type of consulting.

"Insomnia - 50 things to do" is an excellent book! Almost like a "to do" list, except it is about 200 pages. The explanations are short, dense, but still easy to understand, and deep enough to cover all the important aspects of sleeping, the contributing factors, and the different treatment options chapter by chapter. I was surprise, how fast I got through this book. (I have to admit, it wasn't my first book I've read on insomnia.) It is an excellent summary of all the things I've ever read, hear or seen about insomnia so far. After finished reading the book it was easy to look up certain parts to reread, and it was easy to create a plan, the list of things to change in my lifestyle, to get better sleep. I think this book can be helpful for others also (with or without sleeping problems) in self-education, and in the work of improving the quality of sleep and the quality of life.

If you have a BUD (Big Ugly Dish) or you're thinking about getting one, this booklet explains the basics. It's especially helpful if you're thinking about getting a BUD so that you can see what you're in for. It's maintenance and troubleshooting sections are helpful for the current BUD owner. Well worth the price.
