Great role models for kids
This book is terrific for kids who look to sports for role models. While from a different generation, these 4 athletes exemplify what being a leader is and are timeless in the positive effect they will have on children.

Really makes you think!
Fred Petrovsky does a super job making this book come to life. As you read it, you forget this is a work of fiction, and start to think that the first brain transplant has actually occurred. The characters are so real, and their challenges and feelings so genuine, you really feel their conflicting emotions.

A lovely story
I am an early elementary school teacher. I love reading this story to my classes. Its enjoyable for me to read and they love it. It has such a great moral and its written in verse so the children adore it. It takes place in Australia, so it helps open discussion about other countries as well.

real painting
Having just seen the show that this text accompanies, I can highly recommend this catalog to those painters and viewers who enjoy Auerbach's work. As with all reproductions of wonderfull paintings these ones are not able to convey the physical/visual illusion contained in the work. They are very good however and the accompaning text informative. Auerbach has already created a great body of work and seeing it across the hall from an amazing Rembrandt exhibit, also at the Royal Academy, gives hope to the future of painting when it's obituary is beeing written tacitly by so many.

Remembering a President We Never Had
Twenty years after he left the U.S. Senate and 17 years after his death, many people have forgotten Idaho's Frank Church. In his day, Church was a nationally recognized U.S. Senator. In this book, Bill Hall looks back at one of the milestones of Church's career, his late campaign for President in 1976 in which he won five primaries and caucuses.

For those who like politics, this book will take you behind the scenes of Chuuch's Senate office and campaign structure. Hall worked for Church in '76, and he recalls in detail the hopes, dreams, egos, conflicts, ambition, and exhaustion that are a part of any bid for the nation's highest office.

Besides Church, interesting figures explored in the book are his wife and great supporter, Bethine, longtime friend and political aide Carl Burke, and his Senate chief of staff, Verda Barnes, one of the most powerful women on Capitol Hill during that time.

We are fortunate that the Frank Church campaign is documented as it has been here.

"A SHOWCASE OF THE WORLD'S FINEST FANTASTIC ART"
A great book for sci-fi and fantasy art fans everywhere.

The Franks have probably collected the biggest aray of sci-fi and fantasy art by an individual couple.

This book goes through room by room and describes the different pieces of artwork of "THE COLLECTION" that the Franks have collected throughout the years. Including ancedotes of some of the pieces that they have aquired. Some are the original paintings of book covers, others are commissioned paintings that they have had done. By well known and unknown artists alike.

The Franks are big supporters in the art field and are constantly standing up for artists and their rights. Helping donate money and time for art organizations that are in desperate need. To even helping out that artist to create his inspired idea that they may have been unable to do by helping to finance the project.

If you ever wanted a book with a very diverse and representative of many influential artists of the genre this book is it. And then realize that it collected all by one couple...AMAZING!

Awsome N'Awlins Cooking
Being close to New Orleans, I have seen the author on local cooking shows. The Shrimp and Okra Gumbo in this book is one of the best ever..when I prepare it, as I do every year at Christmas, everyone wants the recipe. The other recipes are just as good..

The Bible of Seafood Cookery!
Written as a textbook of sorts, entirely in narrative script, this book actually teaches you how to cook seafood as opposed to how to follow just one singular recipe. It is chock full of valuable information dealing with culinary procedures, use and application of spices, techniques for preparing everything from boiled blue crabs to beer-battered alligator, and the only complete listing of every single fish that swims the waters of the Northern Gulf of Mexico and how to cook them! But the recipes themselves are special--not only unique to the famed cuisine of the Crescent City but so simple to follow and easy to prepare, both for the novice cook as well as the professional chef. It is truly one of those books a serious cook interested in preparing seafood the proper way needs to have on his or her bookshelves, and it is certainly one of those books you'll feel compelled to read from cover to cover for pure entertainment and enrichment.
