This is one of my all-time favorite books! It is about Amy, a 6th grade girl who is pushed into being a member of the "Save the Earth Club" by her best friend Lindsay. Amy is very shy, and she refuses to do some of the things Lindsay wants her to. This causes a rift in their friendship, but eventually they put their differences aside. This book will really make you want to get out there and help save the earth. It isn't preachy, though, because of the way it succeeds in putting humor in throughout the book. Amy's way of facing her fears and helping the earth will inspire you. I give it two thumbs up!

Its hard to imagine that our traditional, yet modern New England town once looked like the photographs in this wonderful book. From the covered bridge across the river, to the horse-and-buggy transportation, the photos capture the magic of Hanover over a period of more than 100 years. Anyone who loves Hanover will absolutely love this book.

I found this to be an excellent bib of U.S. History. Has sections on different periods of U.S. history as well as regional and state sections. It also has a thorough biography secion. Best I've seen so far. I just wish they'd update it.

The best thing that has been published in the Korean Studies in the last few years. This CD allows to the Korean students and researchers to look for almost all the information that has been written about Korean Studies. The CD has a huge data base of books, articles thesis and other things about Korea. An important thing that should be said, and the Harvard Korean Institute should recieve the credit is the low price of this CD. It is a must for libraries and Korean researchers.

A very interesting book, that I couldn't put down. It tells a story that is fascinating and sad. A tale of the good, the bad and what might have been. Highly recommended.

This book started a turning point in my Christian walk. It is firmly grounded in Biblical truths and it is easy to understand. Each chapter explained a common misconception or problem and what the Bible has to say about it. Although the last section of the book discussing the different disorders wasn't what I was needing, the first 2 sections really hit home. As a new Christian, it layed a foundation that was solidly based on scripture. It dispelled misconceptions that I had and even brought up a few that I didn't know I had! I believe that this book has something for everyone. This a book that I will refer back to often.

A no holds barred view of how Naval Aviation played an important role in the Vietnam War. Truely patriotic and humbling. This is an account of a man who loved his country and made the ultimate sacrifice.

_Heretics of Dune_ has been, in my opinion, one of the best books in the Dune series. It's intrigues finally give the reader a deep insight into the workings of the mysterious Bene Gesserit Sisterhood, whose workings have been hidden since the very beginning. The Bene Tleilax are also researched in depth. Throughout the book, I found myself trying to figure out WHAT was going on...only to hit myself in the head at the end in dumb realization. It's like God Emperor in that I wanted to re-read the book to find what I missed...I would, however, suggest going on to _Chapterhouse_ first.

The only bad thing I can think of about Heretics is that Taraza is a flat character. Odrade's sharp contrast in the next book makes up for it, though. _Heretics_ isn't much like the earlier books, but it's a worthy successor to this great series.

This is an outstanding book that provides an interdependent perspective of the processes that have shaped our world with a comprehensive coverage of the four great valley civilizations of Africa and Asia plus the two early civilizations of America. Technological advances are considered from a comparative global perspective. It provides an exceptional treatment of the different civilizations that have existed in World History.

My five year old daughter highly recommends this book for its fun story line! I think that "Hippo" is fun, because she reads this book to Mom and Dad! What is a hippo to do when he gets the hiccups? Hippo's pink-bowed friend knows what to do! Advice such as, put hippo's head in a fish bowl while hippo holds his breath, and scare hippo by saying, "Boo" does the trick for hippo, but has a funny result for the friend. I guess that hippo hiccups can be catching! I know that my daughter and I hope to "catch" the other Reading Milestone books!
