This book is an excellent source for information on the siege of the Alamo as well as its story through the last few centuries. Frank Thompson has put together a beautifully organized book together for Alamo fans everywhere. It is an easy read, but still very good. It deals with the people involved(both Texans and Mexicans), the siege of the Alamo, the massacre at Goliad, the battle of San Jacinto, and then the history of the Alamo up to now. There is an excellent collection of photos in the book with good captions under them rather than just having simple sentences. Thompson has an excellent writing style that makes his books that much easier to read. Also check out his books The Alamo: A Cultural History and if you can find it Alamo Movies. Excellent book for those trying to learn more about the famous mission and also for Alamo buffs everywhere.

i have been a fan of the battle of the alamo since i saw walt disney's davy crockett. since then i have seen every movie about the seige. this book brought back fond memories. i even fulfilled a dream of 37 years of going to bracketville to see the movie sets of the alamo. unfortunately, i was caught in the flood, and couldn't see them. i would really enjoy writing to frank thompson, we could share very similar memories. again, thanks frank for a very enjoyable book.

Very informative book. Pictures are clear for identifying plants. Pocket size is a plus!

Great book, with large 11 x 11 cover reproductions. Too bad they aren't actual 12 x 12 size, but other than that, this is one's perfect 10. The best album art collection I've seen, without a doubt.

I just finished reading the book, "Alias Doctor Webber", by Frank DiFiore. This two volume book is an action packed page turner. What a fantastic fast read. I just couldn't put it down. The plot is loaded with unpredictable turns. I recommend this book to anyone who would like to sit down and lose themselves in a terrific literary work.

I have a 2 -1/2 year old who is fascinated by airplanes. he has been on over 30 flights himself and loves everything about flying. I found this book and he wants me to read it to him all the time. Not only is it fun, but it is informative, actually giving names of real planes from the first flight of the Wright Brothers through to the Space Shuttle. I will buy more from this series since they are so good.

It's a shame this book is out of print. It's a shame this book isn't wildy popular. If you ever come across it ..., make sure you pick it up. Gannon is a great writer and the book is incredibly funny. I read it at work and have to supress my laughter.

This is a great book for anybody in grades 2-5 and wants to know more about their states, and of course, loves crossword puzzles.

When it comes to infomration and classifcation of labyrints, like bettas and guramies. There is only one book that is good enought. This one!

If you want to understand the Christian view of what Truth is and what it means, especially in contrast to [post]modernity's confusion on that point, this is the book for you. I also recommend Holmes's (much more readily available) "The Idea of a Christian College".
