This book is exactly what the subtitle says: an intro to seven countries. It is not exactly a book on comparative politics, although that's the course where it would be used. It devotes about 70(!) pages to each of the countries. Given the standard size type and almost total lack of pictures or feature boxes, the reader gets a LOT of info. It can be difficult to trudge through but it's a good resource.

One thing that would make this book better (though substantially longer) is introductory chapters explaining the characteristics of the three major types of countries. For a text which does a far better job in that area, pick up Charles Hauss' book on Comparative Politics.

If you are a teacher, librarian, home-schooling parent, or simply an adult who wants to learn effective ways to help children enjoy writing, then this book by Marjorie Frank will be fun and useful. In her other book: If You're Trying to Teach Kids How to Wrtie, You've Gotta Have This Book! Marjorie Frank offers both ways to teach and encourage writing as well as the reasons why the methods work. She describes the importance of wanting to write, having something important to write about, then the importance of enabling the student-writer to "publish" or "make public" their writings. This book helps us get past that scary blank empty page. The exercises make wanting to write - so fun and successful, and important - children don't want to stop.

This collection is one of the best comicbook that takes on real life situations without letting the superheroes element disturb your attention. A nicely executed story and the ending will ask you a provoking question about the event in the book. What would you do if it actually happen to you?

For those unaware of Frank Stanford, unkowing of who he was, this collections of short stories has the potential to mis-lead. While I love the stories within this collection, I am not sure that this book is the best introduction to the work of Frank Stanford. That said, I recommend this collection to anyone who is familiar with Frank Stanford. This volume fleshes out a picture that is amazingly incomplete and too unknown.

The Confederate fighting man is the subject of these 11 very touching short stories written by the likes of F.Scott Fitzgerald and Thomas Wolfe. You don't have to be a Civil War fanatic or a Southerner to appreciate this book. You only have to love a well crafted story

A very interesting novel which is all based on an historical character. It is the story of Constantine, the Roman Emperor, who was the first Roman official to accept Christianity. It is full of history and a very good story at the same time. I enjoyed reading it.

This is a very good resource or text for audiologists and/or grad students, good detail, and the CD is a nice side benefit.

This book has 15 activities that will help a class work together as a team. The activities are easy to implement and expand. Great book for teachers of middle and high school.

This book is an excellent resource, not only to keep on the desk, but also as concise reading. The analytics of the corporate bond market were covered very well.

One area that could be more detailed was the portfolio management section (Section 13). However the book was still very worth while.

I would especially recommend this book to those trying to get a good understanding of the corporate bond market in lieu of a textbook or larger scale fixed income guide.

The authors have provided clear formulation with CBT　models and basic treatment approaches to anxiety problems. It is good for beginning therapist in the field. Of course, anxiety problems can have multidimensional factors, like biological factors and social contributions, which cannot be included in this small book. No matter what, it is very good for new therapist to grasp basic CBT principles in treating anxiety problems.
