Solid, succinct, futuristic marketing book; best of 1990s!
This futuristic retail marketing book, written by a former strategic planner in the banking industry, rests on solid business ground. It is well organized and jam-packed with scores of snappy examples. Although first written and published in 1993, this new 1997 reprint stands the test of time and is as current as the first edition. Great guidepost to marketing in a network society where the old marketing model is being turned on its head.

Independent review from an expert in future business...
This book is a fantastic, third-party analysis, of the Quixtar business model. Frank is a credible source to get the business facts from and he does so in an easy-to-read, no-nonsense way so that anyone can understand what this industry is truly about! The book makes it very clear as to why an opportunity in business is about getting involved before it is popular, more specifically why the Quixtar business model is the right business model to be involved in.

Ranting about globalism the peace way.
This contains the threads of thinking globally that has been coopted by big business. There is a resistence to globalism that contains hope for a peaceful interdependent world and solutions to problems. Also features the writings of Petra Kelly. Damm right there are fewer nuclear weapons in the world enough people read this book. We won. Vote green.

Great for All Teachers
I have used the first edition of this book for many years. I had two copies, both of which I had loaned to other teachers so much that I lost track of them. I have used and adapted the games for K through college level and incorporated various subject matter in addition to the original purpose of the games. It is a great resource!

A Child's Delite
I received this book as a child and unfortunately tore some of the pages out. However, most of it is still intact and I pick it up from time to time and I'm thrilled to read it. It takes me back to the days when being five WAS best and I liked strawberry soda. The book is very Canadian and I recommend it for ANY age. It's a joy to read to yourself or your little ones. The variety of tones make the book great for bedtime or rainy days. A delight for all readers. Also check out Lee and Newfeld's other stuff, especially _Alligator Pie_!

Frank tells of the hardships of developing the turbine
Frank starts from his entry into the British military service. He got a patent on the turbine engine in 1930 and spent years fighting authorities while he developed the engine. The perils of early tests are detailed graphically. His engine was used in the Metior and sent to the usa in 1942 after we were in the war. GE developed a working engine in 6 months then Frank came over to help them all he could. An excellent boot about the hardships faced by a man who was clearly ahead of his time.

Essential addition to your Cookbook Collection
The layout is very "useable" and the recipes are applicable for "first-time" cooks as well as the experienced cook. The additional "hints" from the recipe contributors are very useful.

Up-to-date reference.
This thin book (175 pages) provides the newcomer or graduate student with an illustrated introduction to geometric measure theory: the basic ideas, terminology, and results. The author has included a few fundamental arguments and a superficial discussion of the regularity theory, but his goal is merely to introduce the subject and make the standard text, "Geometric Measure Theory" by Federer, more accesible. This second edition includes updated material and references, corrections, and a new chapter on soap bubble clusters.

Its contents are: Measures, Lipschitz functions and rectifiable sets, normal and rectifiable currents, the completeness theorem, area-minimizing surfaces, the approximation theorem, regualrity results, monotonicity and oriented tanget cones, flat chains, varifolds, minimal sets, soap bubble clusters.

Includes excercises, plenty of illustrations, and extensive references.

Highly useful for advanced undergraduate and graduate students in analysis and geometry. The "next step" for fractal geometers.

If you want to buy it maybe it should be better to wait for the third edition to appear by June 2000.

A Great Read Aloud for President's Day!
This easy reader is a delightful story to share with all students. The information gained about President Washington is unforgettable. Children will love that George named his dog "Sweetlips" and they won't forget that he was super kind and honest to one of his enemies! This book will be a staple in classrooms across the country and this true story of George may replace his "Cherry Tree" tale.
