This book provides one of the most comprehensive guides to any county seeking to explore the various possibilities for reform. Not only does the author clearly lead the reader through the major court cases, impacting county government, but this is done in a most explicit way. Since the ordinary citizen is most directly impacted by county government actions, it is important that he/she become aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the various approaches to reform. As we move into the even more rapidly changing 21st century the role of government, at all levels, becomes even more signifgicant. This book helps not only county governments to look at themselves but also provides a useful guide for citizens to evaluate their particular form of county government.

J.Frank Dobie was memorialized in Austin Texas at the famous Barton Springs pool with a statue along with 2 other famous Texans, at a place called philosophers rock. This book is part of the reason why. In it he chronicles the stories of the real mean of the old west, the cooks, cowhands, drive captains, and cattle barons from that famous era of the late 1800's. This is done through his own experience, his uncle owned a ranch in south Texas, direct interviews with his subjects and second hand stories. His book, Cow People, originally published in 1964, doesn't just paint a picture of these people and their time, he blasts the whole place with technicolor. Must be read by all 'cow people' and wannabes.

This handbook has a thorough review on almost all the related topics that a mechanical engineer could be working on. Due to too many topics it is trying to include in this volume, detailed information such as the related tables or figures is not available in this book as I have expected. However, this book does provide a tool that gives me more insight for all the related mechanical enginnering topics I am interested. I will use this book for my PE study and exam.

This is the best book I have read on Criminal Justice. It is fun to read and easy to enjoy. I advise anybody that is interested on the field of criminal justice to begin with this book.

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loved this book about a farmer on his way to the fair who picks up animals along the way also headed to the fair. She was amused to see the cow sitting in the truck, chuckled at the sheep, but roared at the reaction of the farmer when the pigs joined the merry group. This story truly is a road to fun.

I found this book in City Lights ... on my own quest around sacred mountains of the world. It was fun to find Evans-Wentz had anticpated much of my route ... many years before. Cuchama is also Mt Tecate, a mountain on which young American Indians were set to spend the night, coming down with their vocation in life. Well edited by Frank Waters, with what were to me fascinating additional observations. A great intro to the phenomenon of the sacredness of mountians, from a man who lived his life by such things.

This book is a collection of papers presented in a conference. The question writers pose in this book is about the relationship between new social movements and IT. IT has revolutionized the communication thereby reshaped forms of political mobilization, protest. For example, protests on Ceatle, Rome, etc against globalization took the form of multinational movements. It was possible by internet to mobilize, organize on a global scale. Moreover, IT enabled social movements to take global agenda like global warming, GMO, and globalization.
In sum, papers in this book examines the interation between social movements and IT in respect to identity, strategy, and mobilization of social movements

Lots of tips on how to help yourself control the disease and take less medication for pain. Pretty easy to understand. Some good pictures.

This book by an acknowledged trauma guru, contains similar information to that which is found in the trauma "bible" by Mattox. However its more concise style means that it is far easier to read. Ideally you would have both titles on your bookshelf, "Current Therapy of Trauma" to read cover to cover, and "Trauma" to have as a reference for more in-depth study. These two books are the ones to have!

This book picks up around the time that Frank Miller wrapped up his first run on the series and around the time right before Frank Miller started his second run on the series. It's caught between greatness, thus overshadowed by the better-known arcs, but it does a good job of holding the inbetween.

Please, don't pass this book up just because it's not Frank Miller. It does have good stories in it (all except for one...surprisingly, it's the Frank Miller issue [Frank only wrote one issue and co-wrote another out of all the issues collected in here, by the way]), and the art is very good. While none of what you read in Love's Labor's Lost will be forever remembered as some of Daredevil's most defining and infamous moments (save, perhaps, Heather Glenn's suicide), all this book does is give more strength to the character of Matt Murdock/Daredevil, thus showing that he doesn't need Frank Miller to be good.

This book shows that he's great just by himself.
