BOOK DESCRIPTION
HIDDEN BEDROOM PARTNERS: NEEDS AND MOTIVES THAT DESTROY SEXUAL PLEASURE

There is a new and dangerous phenomenon creeping into the modern bedroom. Millions of couples are having sex when they really want and need something else--affection, intimacy, reassurance, revenge, escape from boredom or to express anger. The authors have coined the term "nonsexual sex" to describe this practice of using sex as a vehicle to express or satisfy emotional needs that should be kept out of the bedroom.

Most couples are not aware that they are using sex in this way, and the danger is that sex can never satisfy nonsexual needs. Thus, the couple is left feeling frustrated, unfulfilled or that something is wrong or missing in their sex lives. They think they have a sex problem or that sex is not all it is supposed to be. In fact, it is not, and the authors present convincing arguments that sexual satisfaction can be increased a hundredfold in most relationships.

This book is a guide for discovering "sexual sex"--intense, pleasurable sex, free of hidden emotional needs. Each chapter describes one of these needs, its whys, wherefores and deleterious effects. Exercises, homework assignments, preventive measures, and other solutions are suggested for correcting the problem or improving an already good relationship. The authors also tell us, in fascinating detail, how we have learned to misuse sex and why we continue to do so.

The Hide and Seek Odyssey of Madeline Gimple.

Underpublisized Masterpiece
The Hide and Seek Odyssey of Madeline Gimple is a little known, four scene, children's play that should be revived all over the country. It covers themes on the environment, alienation, the scapegoat, and maturation. It is a broad base teaching tool of which every middle school drama teacher should be aware. It has spectacular, though easily reproduced, specials, and will have any age audience on the edge of their seats. Check it out.

I wouldn't like to be on a bus or be taken hostage by someone. I can imaging how bad it would be. I just like freedom like right now.

Historic Background and Annals of the Swiss and German Pioneer Settlers of Southeastern Pennsylvania

A Personal & Historic Account
I found this book at a library dedicated to Genealogical Research. After leaving the library, I ordered the book. It is setup by year and covers the 18th century+. It contains correspondence "to & from" the colonies to & from the place of immigration. There are letters expressing both personal and political events affecting the lives of these people. There is also a brief commentary at various points explaining some of the letters. I found it to be an very interesting "read". At the end of various points, names of all Swiss & German immigrants who arrived in Pennsyvlania during that year are listed. The ships are sometimes listed. There is an index of surname's. If your ancestors are not listed by surname, but they emigrated during this time period, it will still give you a deeper understanding of their lives regardless of this ethnicity. I recommend this book if this is your area of interest.

An excellent extension of Frank Reno's exploration of Arthur
"Historic Figures of the Arthurian Era" is Frank Reno's follow-up to his "The Historic King Arthur"... The work presented here extends Reno's explorations into the real world of "King Arthur" as found in the ancient written texts. It's a detailed, challenging book which should be of great interest to anyone who strongly wishes to better understand what lay behind all those centuries of legend and myth.

A Classic
A must read from a real survivor. Facts, facts and more facts about a barbaric procedure compiled by a brave soul who got severely punished by this so-called "treatment" because he decided to become a vegetarian and a reader of good books as a young man. His parents were horrified and managed to get him committed to an institution.

A History of the Ecosystem Concept in Ecology: More Than the Sum of the Parts

A valuable sourcebook for anyone interested in Ecology
This is a highly readable and engaging account of the rise of one of the dominant "paradigms" in modern ecology. Golley manages to humanize the scientists behind the science while at the same time providing us with extensive footnotes and a really good overview of the theoretical and historical issues involved in the creation of the ecosystem concept. Numerous pictures also help us to visualize the people behind the text and also give us glimpses of the social settings in which some of these ideas developed. While I disagree on theoretical grounds with the widespread use of the term "ecosystem" Golley is to be commended for giving us a remarkably even-handed vision of where it all came from. I use this book extensively with my undergraduate classes in ecology and conservation and it is a real shame that it is out of print. If you see it, grab it.

History of Ukraine-Rus Vol.7: The Cossack Age to 1625
This is simply the finest work available in the English language
on the Cossacks. It is not only encyclopedic in its treatment of
the subject, drawing on historical and ethnograhic materials in
Ukrainian,Russian,Polish,Turkish and Swedish sources but often
reads as fast moving as an adventure novel. Hrushevsky not only
recites dry facts and dates but puts forth both fascinating and
compelling analysis of the importance of the Cossacks to both the
idea and formation of the Ukrainian nation and the history of
Eastern Europe as a whole. Anyone who thrilled to Gogol's" Taras
Bulba" or the historical fiction of Harold Lamb and wants to learn of the true background of the Zaporozhian Cossacks of the
Sietch , simply cannot pass by this work. As fine as the works of
Nicholas Chirovsky, Linda Gordon,Patrick March and Phillip Long-worth are on the subject, they cannot compare to this comprehen-
sive volume.
