An intoxicating pastiche of Garcia Lorca and Tom Wolfe
Mr. Menchaca has taken today's uncertain sexual political landscape and made sense of it for me. I finished the epic poem that makes up this book and found I was freer to experience pleasure than I ever had. Read it with a friend, friends, or yourself. Set yourself free and on fire!

Great Play
We did this play at my high school, and it was great. We sold out the final night, and as many of you may know, for high school theatre, that is pretty impressive. The other 3 nights, we sold very well. I was Kupreef, the crazy old man, and I must say, it was one of my favorite characters ever, whether acted by me or not. This was a great play, very fun to do, and the cast really bonded. If the director can find cast members that have a real chemistry between them, this play will be great, but it requires much more chemistry between characters than most plays.

This book will enhance your want to learn about ninjutsu.
This book as you know is fiction but there is a great deal of adventure. This adventure you can only make yourself. It will not make you a ninja but it will probably get you hooked and you must be hooked to learn the art of ninjutsu.

AN ENGLISH BULL IN A CHINA SHOP
Nipper is a delightful, anvil-headed English bull puppy. (English bull terriers have anvil shaped heads). Bright, high spirited and full of mischief, the English bull does not disappoint his readers. The anvil headed dog is a lovable and well meaning pet. He rushes headlong into everything, including the hearts of his readers.
Nipper is a delightful literary dog; he will certainly remain remembered and loved.

British Procedural at Its Best
Bannister has written a classic British police procedural. She has also addressed a very difficult subject - rape - with sensitivity and provided a viewpoint not often seen. Her characters are well-drawn and likable - even the minor ones. There's little mystery, but "watching" the two major characters in this outing solve the crime is fascinating.

No Carrots For Harry is synonymous with quality
I really like this book. My little sisters have it, and it is by far their favorite. And there's a valuable lesson to be learned: Carrots are tasty!! I think Harry is a stong male role model for any young man to follow, and I'd go so far as to say that this book should be required text for all elementary school children to enjoy.

An Italian Immigrant Heals a Split Psyche in Naples .
The epigraph of this novel speaks of a Neapolitan legend about a Saracen raid on Naples, the pirates take off with a statue of San Gennaro(St. Januarius). In the surf, returning to boats, the statue falls from their grip and they abandon it close to shore. The Neapolitans rescue it, and return it to the cathedral. However, part of the nose is missing. The legend goes on to say that no born Neapolitan will ever find peace until the missing part of the nose is restored. This distnguished Italian American is appointed Ambassador to Italy, suicidal and drunk,he slips away from the ocean liner in a pilot boat determined to return to the USA.His hatred for his native land is fired anew when he sights Vesuvius,a land that got rid of an eight year old scugnizzi, and shipped him to a drunken sponsor. All his life his soul has been rankled by this cruel exile. However, he has other problems arising from his ethnicity in his adopted and beloved USA. In a series of dramatic events evoked by the hynotic power of a tormented Abbot of a monastery,he, for his sake, restores that missing part of the nose, and bridges spiritually his native land, and the USA. It reminds me in its setting in and about a monastery on the Sorrentine coast of the Name of the Rose by Umberto Ecco. It is a literary read, eminently worthwhile.

Every Navy man should read this, especially veterans of WWII
One of the most entertaining and true to life experiences of the US Navy during WWII, even though some parts are semi-fictional - probably to protect the innocent. A must for a veteran of any branch of service to read. It is hard to put this book down once you pick it up. I am currently awaiting another copy which is on backorder ( a gift for my cousin, who is also a Navy man). Right now he is reading my copy, which he will mail back to me when he finishes reading it. Probably the best book I have ever read - normally I do not re-read a book, but this one I have been though many times, browsing through chapters which have entered my thoughts at the time. I first got the book as soon as it was published having heard about it on TV Station KUSK in Prescott, AZ. Brings back lots of memories of my Navy days in WWII.
