Outstanding, Original and Fabulously Useful!
There are many nutrition books, and food count books on the market with lots of great information about which nutrients are found in which foods. Many of these books also provide information and suggestions regarding nutritional supplementation. While I have found these book immeasurably informative, many times (I think) it is easy to get bogged down, trying to distill information from such a broadly based type of presentation ... especially if you are looking for information on supplements to treat or support a specific condition, or health related issue.

What makes this book a standout (for me) is the way it is formatted. Supplements are presented in categories addressing particular points of focus. For example (just a few of the many) target concerns for supplementation include "Joint and Bone Health", "Vision Supplements", "Immune System Stimulation" etc. Information addressing each specific concern is presented in simple, well organized charts which I found to be hugely useful. In addition, this book presents information on each separate supplement in an easy to read format which is detailed enough to give a good overview .... but no so much information that it becomes a chore.

Extensively referenced, this very well written and originally formatted book is a genuine pleasure to read. By far the most well organized and "to the point" (general) supplement book I have read to date. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Excellent Resourch for Students and Working Engineers
This book an excellent source of information regarding composite manufacturing, design and analysis. I used it in a graduate-level composites course and have continued to use it in my daily work as an engineer at Boeing. The book was well thought out and you can't really tell it was translated from French (I was reluctant about that before I bought it). I'd highly reccommend this book for anyone wanting to learn more about composite materials. This book has something for everyone: designer, analyst, project manager, etc.

i'm the first
well,i thought it was both enlightening and at the same time educational-a rare quality in todays hyperbole-filled books. Well reasearched and documented, i thought the author did a splendid job of portraying the real side of Quadratic forms while delving into the theoretical captured beautifully in a form fitting for accolades and deserves recognition as a book truuly beyond its time, while at the same time captured the pulse of the mathmatical community, in a language for everyone, revealing the depth and cunning of the authors new- age style. It definitely awnsered all my questions on the complexities of Quadratic forms and even addressed some i didn't even know i had.

Evaluation and prediction of new materials at the top level
This contributed volume offers a unique spectrum of modern computational methods as applied to up-to-date problems of materials science. In a sense, it is the first such wide-ranging survey, covering tools of computational and quantum chemistry, molecular physics, solid state theory, etc. It is a necessity to every laboratory of fundamental materials science. The methods are applied to various attractive systems and topics like fullerenes, composites, semiconductors, fractals, nanotechnology:

Individual Chapters - - Ab Initio Studies of Compound Semiconductor Surfaces (T T Rantala) - Molecular-Dynamics Studies of Defects and Impurities in Bulk Semiconductors (S K Estreicher & P A Fedders) - Tight-Binding Molecular Dynamics Study of Structures and Dynamics of Carbon Fullerenes (C Z Wang et al.) - Computations of Higher Fullerenes ( Z Slanina et al.) - Relaxations of Charge Transfer and Photoexcitation in C60 and Polymers (X Sun et al.) - Ionic Charge Transport in Molecular Materials: Polymer Electrolytes (M A Ratner) - Computational Approaches in Optics of Fractal Clusters (V A Markel & V M Shalaev) - Local Fields' Localization and Chaos and Nonlinear-Optical Enhancement in Composites (M I Stockman) - Atomic Valences in Aperiodic Crystals Studies by the Bond Valence Method (S van Smaalen) - Surgace Light-Induced Drift (M A Vaksman) - Theoretical Treatment of Surface Adsorbates (L Nanai et al.) - Phase Conjugation Through Four-Wave Mixing (H F Arnoldus & T F George) - Electromagnetic Propagators in Micro- and Mesoscopic Optics (O Keller) - Nanoscale Materials: Conceptual and Computational Challenges (M V Ramakrishna)

Essential for people with z80's
What do you mean that the z80 disappeared before you were born? I was weaned on 8088's and z9\80's. Anyway this is an easy to follow basic (by the line numbers.) book. Let's see if you can convert it to C? Or pick your platform. This is a hardback book from a time of paperback books. The contents show 47 games. Most of them are different versions of Missile for various hardware platforms. Good for it's time. Fun for this time.

Computers: 49 Science Fair Projects
This book is a great resource and teaching aid for students who love science and computers. It teaches programming, data collecting, taking surveys, graphing results, etc. It has also helped my son in winning two red and one blue ribbon in our regional science fair competitions!

A "must read" for anyone interested in first person accounts
Daniel Tyler was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He participated in many of the "critical" events of that Church from it's beginnings. His first person account of the march of the Mormon Battalion is a day by day account of the "longest recorded march in military history." A lengthy introductory by John Taylor, president of the Church, a poem by Eliza R. Snow and a recount of the First General Festival of the Battalion with speeches by Brigham Young and others, makes this a very readable and valuable addition to any history library. Scholars will find numerous mistakes in roosters and some facts. But this is to be expected from someone who didn't have access to anything but diaries and other somewhat less reliable resources. It is a biased account. He was as I have said; a dedicated member of the Church. He most definitely give his views on various people and events. But that is what makes this such a good read. It's not a watered down politically correct account. It was writted by someone who was there. I recommend it without reservation.

A Concise Introduction to the Theory of Integration

A perfect place to start Real Analysis
This is a perfect textbook for a one-semester course in measure and integration at a graduate level. It's concise but complete and detailed, rigour but motivated and inspiring. It's more technical than Bartle's little book on integration. It also has solution manual in the end to check on. I hope more readers enjoy such a wonderful germ written by a star form MIT.

The perfect pocket reference to literature
This book fills a niche, and does so perfectly. I wanted a reference work for literature, but I didn't want to pay $50 for one. This book gives short, concise blurbs, which is often all one needs. It is organized well and is inclusive enough for the average household. Not a book for specialists, but excellent for the layperson and student.

A Dynamic Partnership!
Here's yet another--MUST READ--for the forensic expert! The authors have formed a "poetic partnership," especially in that both the legal and the psychiatric/psychological fields are successfully brought together in their focus. The text is clearly extensively researched, well-documented and, perhaps, most importantly, is packed full of valuable information! A clear line of communication is established between both the legal and the mental health professional. An extensive list of references is also provided. Rogers and Shuman have done an admirable job with CONDUCTING INSANITY EVALUATIONS!

Reviewer is the author of Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity,(which is also on Amazon.com).
