Hippy VV mbr VVAW E-6 from PA dumps cold H2O on YKW!
Passing Time's time pasting took only one night! In that time W. D. Ehrhart flashed me back to '70, 68, 69, 71, and the nitexmasarclights of '72, Ho ho ho chi minhnity returns with both laughter and extreme anger! Ah! The ying and yang of it to me who calls Bill and old old dear friend whom I had never availed myself to his insight and wit like I did last night with Passing Time! Five stars *****, but never too soon to be a new motion picture. Of an old e-6 hippy from Perkasie, Pa, who graduated from Swarthmore College and worked at sea like all "Old Salt" gyrenes who went a few places, saw a few things and still live to tell about it in all speldid details from the heart. Perspicatious (if that can be now a new adjective!) jvb

Pastoral Care for Children
I am just ordering this book to read, but I welcome writing a critical review. It has been highly recommended me to me by the Chaplain of a major hospital who uses it with children. I am especially looking forward to receiving insight from the section on psychological needs of children who are facing illness. I intend to use this in my ministry of caring for children in our congregation who are ill.

Excellent Biography
This is one of the best biographies I have ever read. Casual and right to the point. Interestingly he talked very casually about when he ... at law school and about how much .... Didn't mind talking about himself in not always positive ways. Without using many words, Pataki was able to give the reader a clear impression of his political career and what a longshot he was considered when he started running in 1994 and how he managed to win without the support of Rudy Giuliani. Pataki is one of the greatest politicians in America and wrote one of the greater autobiographies.

A Step Into the Past
I suppose I am prejudiced about this book. I have known the author since childhood and also many of the people she writes about in each little "patch of joy". I think it's a great little book and would recommend it to anyone. The copy I have is my second copy which I purchased in order than a friend might have an opportunity to read Patches of Joy. I suppose my first copy, in hard cover, is sitting on someone else's book shelf.

Paths to the Power of Myth: Joseph Campbell and the Study of Religion

A gem
It is rare that scholars of religion respond to the ideas of Campbell with fairness and depth of thought. This book is worth reading, its contributors great thinkers all, each of whom is able to place "the power of myth" into a greater perspective.

Monemental work in literature of the world politics
This is a monummental work in the study of world politics. Those who want to go beyond text book knowledge of international politics should read this book. In it, Raymond Aron combines theory, sociology, history, and praxiology with profound insight and encyclopedic knowledge. Although his analyses can be difficult for American sudents far from 'philosophizing social science,' must teach you how to think of politics among nations. Profound, brilliant, insightful, marvelously written, in short, this is the most important book in international relations.

Nice narrative about the start of the Iriquois Confederacy
A very entertaining story, and definitely welcome in an era where political duplicity and partisan policies ignore the prospect of everyone getting along. We all could learn a lot from this story!

The Best of its Class
This is simply one of the most incisive and comprehensive works on this controversial subject that we've seen in recent years. Anyone, be he expert or layman, will find this book on modern phronological studies of great value. Scholarly, yet never dull, it will delight, inform, and gratify. Well worth the rather hefy price.
